I am concerned about what the West would do if Hamas was still in charge in Gaza

Would they keep it blockaded? Would this prevent the emergence of a 2SS? Netanyahu has used Hamas before to prevent a Palestinian state. Would prefer Sinwar gone or exiled personally.
