Do you believe that 3rd party candidates deserve a platform in presidential debates, and why?

 @9H5MSLY from South Dakota answered…5mos5MO

yes, because they could have great ideas and opportunity but we will never know because there are no debates.

 @9H5MVV6 from Kentucky answered…5mos5MO

Yes i think 3rd party candidates deserve a stance so its just not republican and democrat.

 @9H5MRW7 from California answered…5mos5MO

Sure, but even if they were included, I don't think they could win in this upcoming election. We are too bogged down in the 2 party system

 @6WP5FSYRepublican  from Washington answered…5mos5MO

No.

The current system in the first past the post system causes a spoiler effect. Third party candidates should not be on the stage unless they meet the already existing requirements.

 @HarmoniousC0nstitutionDemocrat from California commented…5mos5MO

They will find a way to not include RFK Jr.- the system is to reliant on a binary system to prevent the unconscious base from having to do more than look for a letter. It is a no win situation for them to have the voters using critical thinking or understanding nuance

 @FluentMoth from West Virginia commented…5mos5MO

Kennedy is going to be standing on stage alone because Trump and Biden are too scared to show up.

 @ReferendumHankRepublican from Illinois commented…5mos5MO

RFK is being jiggled in our faces as an alternative but in reality he is just a decoy.

 @RabbitEmily from Massachusetts commented…5mos5MO

I think joe will not show up He is barely able to read the papers

 @SomberGrassroots from Kansas commented…5mos5MO

D’s will have Newsome installed the wings long before Joe has to get lost on the debate stage.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Could the inclusion of 3rd party candidates in debates influence your voting decision, and in what way?

 @9H5PHK2 from Illinois answered…5mos5MO

Yes because the two party system is a bad system and other voices should be heard.

“The Commission on Presidential Debates announced the schedule and prerequisites for the 2024 cycle Monday, with three presidential debates set for:

- Sept. 16, 2024, at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas

- Oct. 1, 2024, at Virginia State University in Petersburg, Va.

- Oct. 9, 2024, at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City

A single vice presidential debate is slated for Sept. 25, 2024, at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa.

To qualify for the debate stage, candidates for president and vice president must have achieved at least 15% in national polling.

With under 10 months to go until the first debate, environmental lawyer and anti-vaccine advocate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is averaging 16.7% in the latest RealClearPolitics aggregate.”
