Unfortunately, the world has gotten to a point where violence is considered the answer to solving problems of disagreements or strife and this has been the case for centuries. I would like to think that in the future, the human race could find other alternatives for solving difficulties that do not involve violence, death, and war, but alas, I doubt we will ever reach that point.

Ideally, the idea of war being useless would be perfect for humanity. However, society is naturally going to have conflict and there will be immature leaders who cannot handle conflict with anything other than violence. Unfortunately, I don't think they're will ever be a time in which people won't get into conflicts, whether they be interpersonal or political. I do however think that at a certain point people will choose to simply not participate in wars between nations. They will simply see the futility in fighting pointless wars that only really affect the wealthy in charge. That isn't to say that people won't be willing to go to war against an immediate threat, like oppressive systems and things of that nature.

From an optimistic standpoint, heck yeah! But I'm strictly pessimistic, so...nah. There's always going to be something people are gonna want to fight over. It's sadly human nature. Kids fight over dumb things, they hit and bite and scream and kick and cry, and then have a think about it in a timeout corner. Teenagers fight about something, insults are thrown and in some cases, punches fly and blood spills and for what?
