It's interesting you brought up the comparison between gender identity and other aspects such as age or race. While they might seem similar on the surface, they are fundamentally different. Age is a measurable, chronological fact, and race is a biological and social construct that has significant sociocultural implications and history. On the other hand, gender identity is about one's personal, internal sense of their own gender.

I'm not entirely disagreeing with you, but I find it interesting that you define race as a biological and social construct. There have been plenty of studies proving that race only affect skin color, hair color, and hair texture biologically. The rest of the factors we attribute to "race" are environmental and cultural. For example, the stereotype that African Americans are better at certain sports actually comes from a combination of the environment they were raised in (i.e. people from Kenya being better runners because of altitude), or the culture they were raised in (i.e.…  Read more
