if there is an "at risk" teacher that is unwilling to protect themselves accordingly (mask, sheild, vaccination) and not be willing to teach in-school, they should make a decision to teach online only. i dont believe the need to force the schools to reconfigure classrooms for social distancing when they are going to be going down hallways and being in contact. what a waste of money. if i was a parent of an "at risk" student, there is no-way i would have be putting them into the environment of a public school to begin with. the student should be given a choice where they should continue attending with a voucher. then the families can choose without financial hardship to make the best choice to protect their family as they feel the need to. alot of private at home pod learning sites are popping up and make sense to those that still want to socialize but in a more controlled environment. The at risk teachers should be incentified to work their, as well. when most students are NOT at risk, it is cost prohibitive to make this reconfigured for all.
