There needs to be better accountability! Make the companies accountable for the people. Water and food supplies need ultimate protection. Any proposed alterations to an existing area that has any chance of contaminating the water, air or ground must have legitimate actions in place to prevent such contamination. And the people who reside there must be fully prepared and accepting of both. People first. Homes cannot be destroyed nor should families be forced to leave their homes. Make the right choice to emphasize people over companies.

In less populated areas and in areas where other more environmentally friendly energy options aren't available

 @9YCSQDR from Washington  answered…6mos6MO

I think we need to improve how much money it takes to buy them so it is cheaper, so that every one can afford it.

 @9Y8X932Republican from Michigan  answered…6mos6MO

I'm in between because sometimes its good because they use it for fuel but sometimes it harms the enviroment.

 @9Y8C2XCRepublican from Indiana  answered…6mos6MO

it is a necessary thing to do but they should take better care for the environment they are working in

 @9Y2XY5TRepublican from South Carolina  answered…6mos6MO

Yes and no, do not approve any more expansion until more research is completed. What is currently being fracked can continue.

 @9XZR3P4Republican from Illinois  answered…6mos6MO

yes i support it as a means to an end. we should be using it as a crutch so we can kick start nuclear energy.

 @9L75B7SRepublican from Colorado  answered…1yr1Y

yes but require companies to compensate local populations or fix problems with wells or water supplies that result from fracking

 @9DB522TRepublican from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

No, vegetarians can’t be trusted. Just last week we caught of them siphoning gas out of a company truck!

 @9D6JJCR from California  answered…2yrs2Y

 @8HJCVYS from New York  answered…5yrs5Y

As of now, yes, I am in support of fracking for oil. Only until we are able to develop new sources of energy that can replace our finite amount of natural resources.

 @9HB874PRepublican from Idaho  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, energy independence is a very necessary thing for the United States currently. Still, it should be closely monitored with its effects on the surrounding environment only to be stopped if it causes severe damage. if severe damage occurs, whatever company is doing the drilling should be tasked and fined for the repair of whatever has taken place.

 @9D823CRRepublican from Wyoming  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, it has proven to be an efficient and effective way to get to oil deposits safer and cleaner than any other method currently developed.

 @9TTD33CRepublican from Nebraska  answered…8mos8MO

I believe it should be watched closely to ensure limited to no damage is done and it should be done in unpopulated areas

 @9B94BHK from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but always pursue the least amount of environmental damage as humanely possible. Although we need to take better care of the planet we cannot just kill off the oil industry.

dont really care really but i would like to make it so we fule our own state and we dont get gas or oil form somthign else

 @8ZBGTM3Republican from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

Other energy sources should be pursued in addition fracking which should not occur in populated areas.

 @8ZB8B7BIndependent from Iowa  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8Z7ZPF9Republican from Georgia  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8Z6MCHJRepublican from Oklahoma  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8Z54ML6Republican from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8Z4XQN3Republican from Colorado  answered…3yrs3Y

yes, for now but not in populated areas, and we should also look into more sustainable energy resources.

 @8Z3MPNJ from Georgia  answered…3yrs3Y

yes, but it needs to be supervised because i really don't feel like drinking oil

 @8Z3M7VTRepublican from Ohio  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8H7DQVCRepublican from Ohio  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8YZTHY6Republican from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

I believe that fracking for oil and natural gasses should stop, but I think it should be watched closer if it continues. I do think that we should be pursuing more sustainable energy resources as well.

 @8YZMJDYRepublican from Louisiana  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8TK7NDCRepublicanfrom Maine  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only until the efficiency of sustainable energy technology improves

 @8TDFXG8Republican from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but there should be an extreme importance and priority put on the protection of surrounding environments and water supplies.

 @8T8JVRVRepublican from Illinois  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8SRCQVNRepublican from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, We should at least be able to maintain our use of natural gas for our vehicles

 @8SR5T7NRepublican from Virginia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, as long as society is dependent on fossil fuels for energy and manufacturing it is the only reasonable option. Petroleum production is a necessity until recycling becomes more advanced and cleaner.

 @8SQSH94Republican from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8SKT3L8Republican from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

No, we should pursue more sustainable energy resources instead, and we should probably do more research to measure the long term effects of fracking

 @8SD3X2SRepublican from South Dakota  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, until there is another source of energy that can be obtained and give people other jobs

 @8SBRG8SRepublican from South Dakota  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8SBJRGFRepublican from Louisiana  answered…4yrs4Y

yes because if u dont hae that gas prices going up oil prices going up becuase edrilling gets the natural oil and gas out of the earth it dont hurt the poulation as long as toxic dont get relix]zeed in air.

 @8S62VN8Republican from Massachusetts  answered…4yrs4Y

No, It causes to much harm to the environment, people around drilling sights and water gets filled with chemicals and can not be drank

 @8S5WZZ8Republican from Louisiana  answered…4yrs4Y

yes we should use fracking but we should be in an area where no sort of city or town is nearby. it would need to be far away from local areas.

 @8S5F9GXRepublican from Oregon  answered…4yrs4Y

It’s fine for now, but it should be regulated and we should gradually switch to alternative energy sources.

 @8S45BWC from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

We should keep fracking, but start to transition to a more sustainable energy source.

 @8S3Q4XP from Washington  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8RZBT6TRepublican from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

ive never really heard about this in the news or from anybody so it cant be that big. so i say until it becomes a really big problem then i say leave it for now.

 @8RCPDPCRepublican from California  answered…4yrs4Y

yes I support the oil and gas company if I don't I won't have a job we need gas and oil to survive if we don't have oil and gas we won't have a country with this dumb *** president

 @8RCGSV9Republican from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8RCD4BPRepublican from Delaware  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but there should be consequences for companies who do not clean out the lubricant that is detrimental to the environment

 @8RC8CSYRepublican from Missouri  answered…4yrs4Y

I also appreciate our country being able to be self-sufficient and not having to rely on other countries for oil, gas, and natural gas resources.

 @8RC4C9GRepublican from Massachusetts  answered…4yrs4Y

yes, until more research is done about effects or for more sustainable options

 @8RBYXFYRepublican from Connecticut  answered…4yrs4Y

yes but research in search of sustainable resources should be done extensively

 @8R5NFQ5Republican from Maine  answered…4yrs4Y

If its not in a area where it'll harm wildlife much or near cities I say go for it.
