Districts with larger populations should have more voting power than smaller counties with less than 100 people in them in the electoral college system

 @9XM2JSYNo Labels from Texas  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, and there should be a test system to determine if a person has enough knowledge of politics to vote

 @9XLYKLF from Texas  answered…7mos7MO

yes and make there is not electoral vote each candidate would not focus on states cause no matter what each vote is literally one vote

 @9XKGN37 from Texas  answered…7mos7MO

No, as the EC prevents the major cities from dictating the outcome of national elections.

However, ranked choice voting should be implemented so that we can work to get away from the 2 party system. Also, gerrymandering congressional districts needs to be regulated.

 @9WQGKYZ from Texas  answered…7mos7MO

No they had been made in fear of the peoples lack of education
now its the ignorance of man
if people had been less blinded by politics and ignorance we wouldn't need it

it was made partially for this very reason

they choose to be ignorant and for that I cannot trust my fellow man because of this

 @9VLW27G  from Texas  answered…7mos7MO

No, it is useful in obtaining a final decision that checks the power of major cities, but a ranked voting system would be more politically efficient, and could help disperse partisan voters

 @9V79F69 from Texas  answered…8mos8MO

No, but force the members of the electoral college to adhere to the majority of the votes cast in their state.

 @9THM2VB from Texas  answered…8mos8MO

No, but I do believe the amount of votes earned per state should be spread out more. No states that will guarentee success.

 @9S8ZQGX from Texas  answered…9mos9MO

No, but it should be taken in comparison to the popular vote and base the winner on the discrepancy margin.

 @9RKPQ48 from Texas  answered…10mos10MO

Abolishment of the electoral college requires a constitutial amendment and is therefore irrelevant to the election of the president of the United States, who represents the national executive branch.

 @9K79SHMProgressive  from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

I want ranked voting in combination with reform so votes are distributed proportionally instead of winner take all system

 @9J26J4N  from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

No, but reallocate electoral votes so that metropolitan areas are weighed the same as rural, and we should go back to having the runner-up become the Vice President.

 @9H8QCF6 from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

No, but the Electoral College should be revised to where popular sovereignty rules over the college rather than the college over popular sovereignty.

 @9DW4DBS from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

No. Eliminate the cheating by the democrats. . Paper ballots and one day of voting.

 @8DSBLBH from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

 @9RPDHMY from Texas  answered…10mos10MO

Return electoral votes to population based measure, all electorial votes be proportionally distributed, and push for ranked or approval choice voting

 @9BNSWYDPeace and Freedom from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

 @96MHGGWRepublican from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but it should be required for the electors to vote for those the people voted for

 @96FVDG2 from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

 @95ZVZ5CWomen’s Equality from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

Not enough information or knowledge nor understanding of what the electoral college actually does, so i am unsure of my response to this question.

 @93F7XB8 from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

I do not have a concrete answer for this question. I am very neutral to the electoral college. It helps and doesn’t help at the same time.

 @93C8S7L from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

Definitely. Those who are in favor of it claim that it prevents the liberal parts of the country from deciding the election, however, instead, it makes states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida the only states where your vote really matters. See the 2000 or 2016 elections for examples.

 @92MFKM2 from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZJQJB4 from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, and no, It's a yes because voting doesn't truly lie in the hands of the people, and no because Republicans are at a loss most of the time because of bs media.

 @8YSXB5FIndependent from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes. First we need to have a safe, secure voting system and then we switch to popular vote.

 @8Y4SZMN from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

The government and, by extension, the electoral college shouldn't exist

 @8X9ZJBT from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

If there were an accurate prediction of the effect of this then I’ll have an answer for you

 @8X5MKX3 from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes. Just tally the votes as a whole instead of separating by state. It’s stupid.

 @8WMRYNG from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

If we are to keep the electoral college system, then they should make it where the popular vote has more say.

 @8VXMLPG from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VNNMNL from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes because electoral college isn't fair for any third party candidates who want to run for presidency.

 @8VG3QPF from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8V8P6WD from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

I am against it but when sometimes this can help when little girls are hurt by people.

 @8V3BN7QConstitution from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but the electoral college should be reformed to make population a less significant variable.

 @8TVLRXC from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8TMY3HG from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8SQBYRP from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes because It is “undemocratic;” It permits the election of a candidate who does not win the most votes; and. Its winner-takes-all approach cancels the votes of the losing candidates in each state.

 @8R8YF7P from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

yes, the people should have the power to vote and have their vote count. therefore whoever had more votes at the end of the election is president.

 @8R5ZRKL from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QWQ7CT from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

The electoral college should only be used when necessary, if votes happen to come to a tie then we should go off of that vote.

 @8QWJ75P from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

No, there should some changes on updating population and their should be I big weight on popular votes.

 @8QRSR7QSocialist from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QR458R from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

No, although they should recruit more people that are trustworthy that will force a whole state to recount votes during voting time which is important.

 @8Q56WG6 from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8PYD4KG from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

Have an electoral point system so the popular vote of the state give the winner all of the points with no middle man (the elector).

 @8PPM4V7 from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

No, switch to ranked voting, and proportionally distribute electors, instead of a winner take all

 @8PKXTBV from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8N8SXDTRepublican from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

Maybe, change the college and popular votes to fit the most equal voting

 @8N5KLQ5Women’s Equality from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

I think it’s like in between but personally I tho it should be banned

 @8MBYD3X from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

No, but the balance of votes by population should be updated, and it should be reformed so that the votes are more distributed instead of the "current winner take all" system

 @8KJXJM2 from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

Not entirely, the votes should be calculated based off of percentage. For example if Texas has 30 votes and the results are 50% Democrat and 50% Republican, then the votes are split, rather than having a the winner take all.

 @8K79M3M from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8K6N6X2 from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

no, but make a law to where the representative has to vote for the popular vote of the state.

 @8K5GLGP from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8JS8L6TIndependent from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes to keeping but it needs to be reformed in other ways that aren’t listed.

 @8JDW998 from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8J3RYVP from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

I think that winning both the electoral college and popular vote should be required to win the Presidency. Additionally, eliminating the two party system and requiring candidates to make public the businesses that contribute through lobbying (both who and how much)

 @8J2S289 from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

i feel that this is a difficult questions since i am understanding towards both points of views when it comes to this question

 @8HQM9TFRepublican from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

 @7G8DD8SDemocrat from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

No, but reform so that votes are distributed proportionally and the balance of votes by population are updated

 @8H765ZJ from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

Restructured where candidates still campaign in states that are not labeled battleground states because they know the electoral college is preestablished the outcome already in these non battleground states.

 @8FDXKQ6 from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

Each persons vote should equal one vote. Everyone should get an equal say.

 @8F9VWC8 from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

No, increase the size of the US House is Representatives to make the electoral college more proportional

 @8F8QT97 from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

No, however I think electoral college votes should be split by rural/urban counties. it seems that major cities hold the power of the electoral college in states such as NY, CA, IL. The electoral college should vote in a manor that represents all counties, not just the major counties i.e electoral votes should not be all in by pop vote but rather split to represent the entire area of state.

 @8DVMSMH from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8CR8W9Z from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

No. However, make each state equal one point. In the event of a 25-25 tie, the tie-breaker can be either the Popular vote or the average margin of victory per state.

 @8CPCC6R from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

No, but there should be no way for a faithless vote to ruin the election.
