Yes, due to if they pay taxes in the United States and have lived in the United States for at least two years.

 @B2S9CPGIndependent from Texas  answered…5mos5MO

Heck no! What if another country just decides to send people over? That could interfere in elections. Either way, if they are not a citizen, why should they have a say? U.S. citizens reside in other countries, but I do not think they can vote in their elections, and it's for good reason. There are different values here than elsewhere, and respectfully, a foreigners opinion of foreign politics is exactly that, foreign. I do not tell other countries how to live their lives.

if they plan to stay in the country for the rest of their lives, then yes, but if they are coming for schooling, lets say a 4 year school here in the states, then no. If they are trying to escape a horrible life in their country, we should have shelters for them at the least, not run them out of our country afraid, hungry, and cold. We are a land of the people, ALL PEOPLE.

 @9JGFPSW from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

Only legal citizens should have the right to vote but we need better easier pathway for citizenship for residents and immigrants living here

 @9GW69BH from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

i think it really depends because most people will say yes but they could be going to vote for that president because maybe that president promised them something for more votes

 @9FYRHMD from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

If they have obtained citizenship legally and have become American citizens, they should have the right to vote as an American.

 @9F4PV2T from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

If they have lived and worked in the country for 5 years then they should be able to vote.

 @9LKR7TM from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

I do believe that they should be U.S. Citizens and that if they are paying taxes as well, they should have a say in who is running out of government

 @95ZDKHQ from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

They should be able to vote if they pay taxes and have a clean background check

 @93XL3Q5Women’s Equality from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only after they go through the official route to become a U.S. citizen.

If their ideals and beliefs are a threat to American democracy, they shouldn't, so I think they should be required to take a political test to ensure that their views would align with America's.

 @8ZGLGY4 from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, after living in the country for a certain amount of time and if they pay taxes.

 @8Z5ND3DRepublican from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

yes, if they are a current Legal United States Citizen for 5 years or more

 @8YCYMJJ from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

The term foreigners residing in the US is too broad for this question because many kinds of foreigners could be currently residing in the US. There are permanent resident foreigners who should have the right to vote because they will be living in the US for a long period of time, there are the foreigners who have student visas, work visas and tourist visas who I think should not be allowed to vote because once their visas expire they would need to go back to their country and their vote will affect the future of the people who will be living in the US for a long time.

 @8XPX9MG from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

If they become a United States citizen yes I think they should have the right to vote.

I think that if they know what those presidents are going do to for our country and that they live here more than a certain amount of time they should be allowed to. But I don't think that they should vote and just go back to their country and not having that president.

 @8VMB36C from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

Not until they become a legal citizen or have lived in the U.S. for at least a minimum of 5 years
