Every country has borders, if we just budget right then we should be able to build it, because if we dont then illegals come in and hurt, rape and commit crimes, also they are taking away from legal citizens by not having to pay taxes on anything and stealing peoples jobs that live her legally, we need to focus more money on the wall istead of giving money to people who are to lazy to get a job and that have ruined thei rlife by being stupid doing drugs, they shoul dnot get money they should find god

It doesn't matter if it is to costly, are country would be in critical danger if we continue to keep the southern boarder open and free. We need to establish order and security for the United States in order to keep drugs and illegal aliens out of the country.

I think that we should lighten up on the process to actually get documents for families that truly are searching for something like "The American Dream," but people with a criminal record or suspected violence or anything negative should and will be denied at the border wall. The Wall security should continue to be upgraded and deportation of criminals should continue to occur. Families who are scared should have different opportunities.

Growing up on the border, I have firsthand experience that the open border welcomes people with drugs and intentions to harm this country. I do not understand why people should be allowed to walk into this country and live the same life as we do without going through the proper documentation process. Personally, the border not only protects individuals but it prevents millions of tons of drugs from entering our country. Not only does an open border help the cartels make money but it also endangers the lives of every single American born individual. WE DO NOT KNOW THE PEOPLE CROSSING INTO OUR BORDER AND IT SHOWS WHEN THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED BY UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS.

Sleepy Joe aka Joe Biden was one of the wordt presidents of all time the guy let in millions of illegal people and now when trump is trying to clean up sleepy joes mess we are getting protests about it I mean america is being filled with liberal idiots and snowflakes who have no idea what is going on in the world protesting things they have no idea about. I mean we have people who dont even know what gender they want to be protesting ICE like there the ones doing anything bad. ICE is cleaning up america. Liberals need to shut up and never speak again
While it is costly, the border wall offers sustained isolation and protection from illegal immigrants. Additionally, it could provide a dedicated region for both immigrants to receive documentation and for the two countries to trade in an unconfounding environment if done correctly. Now, this won't solve illegal immigration as a whole, but it may significantly help in reducing it and providing equitable access to real documentation via visas or Green Cards. Additionally, national security is of utmost importance to the welfare of the United States as a whole; according to the Washington… Read more

Would you like drug dealers, cartels, murderers, and rapists coming into the country illegally and breaking the law?

I get that a border wall costs a lot, but the bigger point is comparing that cost to the long-term costs of illegal crossings, trafficking, and drug smuggling. The wall isn’t supposed to be a stand-alone fix. It works best as one part of a larger border security strategy with technology and personnel, which can make enforcement more effective over time.

What is important to us Americans it to ensure the safety of all Americans by keeping out the drugs that come across the border as well as the violent criminals that cross that border every day. It might not be very effective, but if it discourages traffickers and drug cartels from taking advantage it is worth it.

A wall does not have to be built across the entire border; it can be built only in the busiest crossing areas where it helps the most. In those spots, a barrier can slow people down and give border agents more time to respond, which can reduce repeat crossings. If it is combined with cameras, sensors, and better staffing, it can be more effective and not just a waste of money.

Our country doesn't need anymore illegal immigrants. While some of them are really just trying to get jobs to support their families, even those people should do the right thing and come to the country legally. Then there's the ones who come to the country only to cause violence. There are more murders and drug trafficking in the U.S. then there ever has been and it is mostly due to illegal immigrants. Putting up a border would significantly decrease these problems we are currently facing.
@BD3R68Z 1mo1MO
It would cost a lot more than it would to build a wall if we just kept the flow of illegal criminals up instead of doing something about it. The fact is that the American people are being harmed by not only the drugs being brought in but also the human trafficking. You cannot just ignore the security of the country because you do not want to spend the money to do something about it. Deporting people is not free so it cannot be the only long-term solution to protecting the American people. In the long run, it would cost less to build a wall than in would to pay ICE and the police and get the drugs out of the country. The wound needs to be packed permanently instead of continuing to put Band-Aids on it over and over again. The safety of the American people matters and cannot be ignored!

I believe 'too' costly shows short sighted and an excuss allowing people of unknown character, back ground and intents to disregard our laws and enter USA illegally. Increasing the potential risk of safety for myself, family, community, fellow citizens of USA. As for ineffective Border Wall, President Trump already proved the Border Wall and sound policy of border enforcement works.
@BCP6ZK3Republican2mos2MO
@BCNNLN7Republican2mos2MO
The U.S. already spends tens of billions annually on enforcement, detention, healthcare, and social services tied to illegal crossings.
A wall is a one-time (or long-term capital) investment, like infrastructure (roads, dams, military bases).
Even partial reductions in crossings can offset costs over time
@BCNDV932mos2MO
@BCNC2H62mos2MO
It's important to keep dangerous illegal immigrants out of our country and various cartel groups that send drugs over the border and excessive violence. People wanting to come into the country need to go through the legal process instead of boarder hopping to insure that dangerous individuals are not allowed to come into the country easily.

While building a border wall has upfront costs, it is an investment that can significantly reduce illegal crossings and drug trafficking, ultimately saving taxpayer money on law enforcement and social services. Effective physical barriers paired with technology can provide long-term security that purely staffing the border cannot achieve
@BC5WXNV2mos2MO
The united states of america funnels money to the middle east via proxy to essentially help other foreign countries with their conflicts, considering our enormous national debt deficit. Our primary focus should be domestic, especially considering a vast number of inheritable issues that the democrats cost. If you search up the definition of a country, you cant define a country without using the term "border" or some feasible sense of national security defense protecting the people inside said land. are there alternatives sure, but domestic Americans safety should be the commander in chief primary position and investing home should be increasingly crucial.

And providing medicare wouldn't? Providing food/shelter/water and health care for illegal immigrants wouldn't cost too much either? If someone enters illegally, then they should be deported, and we shouldn't provide insurance for them along with citizenship for their kids. The wall should be funded.
