Every country has borders, if we just budget right then we should be able to build it, because if we dont then illegals come in and hurt, rape and commit crimes, also they are taking away from legal citizens by not having to pay taxes on anything and stealing peoples jobs that live her legally, we need to focus more money on the wall istead of giving money to people who are to lazy to get a job and that have ruined thei rlife by being stupid doing drugs, they shoul dnot get money they should find god

 @BCJ5MVM from Maryland  agreed…2mos2MO

yes, if we have open borders people will be able to come in with no restrictions and it can be a danger to others

 @nicolas.tornbergRepublican  from New York  disagreed…2mos2MO

It doesn't matter if it is to costly, are country would be in critical danger if we continue to keep the southern boarder open and free. We need to establish order and security for the United States in order to keep drugs and illegal aliens out of the country.

 @BCCDBQR from Missouri  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree with this because Joe Biden let a lot of bad people into America and we should keep the boarders closed.

 @BCF35NH from Texas  disagreed…2mos2MO

The border wall is very ineffective, we have border patrol agents and people working, so why don't we give better funds and create more jobs for those people. Also, your point means nothing you don't even know how to use simple words like our vs are.

 @BCF7MPJ from Louisiana  agreed…2mos2MO

I thinks its great to make a wall because why should someone be able to come over here and take are stuff and money.

 @BCDNFKPRepublican from Georgia  agreed…2mos2MO

I think that we should lighten up on the process to actually get documents for families that truly are searching for something like "The American Dream," but people with a criminal record or suspected violence or anything negative should and will be denied at the border wall. The Wall security should continue to be upgraded and deportation of criminals should continue to occur. Families who are scared should have different opportunities.

 @BB2FZX9Republican  from Arizona  disagreed…4mos4MO

Growing up on the border, I have firsthand experience that the open border welcomes people with drugs and intentions to harm this country. I do not understand why people should be allowed to walk into this country and live the same life as we do without going through the proper documentation process. Personally, the border not only protects individuals but it prevents millions of tons of drugs from entering our country. Not only does an open border help the cartels make money but it also endangers the lives of every single American born individual. WE DO NOT KNOW THE PEOPLE CROSSING INTO OUR BORDER AND IT SHOWS WHEN THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED BY UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS.

 @BB2ZHJ5 from Maryland  agreed…4mos4MO

I think the border is important because keeping bad people out of our country would prevent many problems that would be more costly than the border itself. If they want to enter our country, they can go through the legal process to do so.

 @BB2V7KCRepublican from Georgia  agreed…4mos4MO

Sleepy Joe aka Joe Biden was one of the wordt presidents of all time the guy let in millions of illegal people and now when trump is trying to clean up sleepy joes mess we are getting protests about it I mean america is being filled with liberal idiots and snowflakes who have no idea what is going on in the world protesting things they have no idea about. I mean we have people who dont even know what gender they want to be protesting ICE like there the ones doing anything bad. ICE is cleaning up america. Liberals need to shut up and never speak again

While it is costly, the border wall offers sustained isolation and protection from illegal immigrants. Additionally, it could provide a dedicated region for both immigrants to receive documentation and for the two countries to trade in an unconfounding environment if done correctly. Now, this won't solve illegal immigration as a whole, but it may significantly help in reducing it and providing equitable access to real documentation via visas or Green Cards. Additionally, national security is of utmost importance to the welfare of the United States as a whole; according to the Washington…  Read more

I say machinegun nests, minefields, piranha in the river, and capital punishment for people in the country illegally

Illegal immigrants stay out our country so they do not kill and its unfair to people who became nationalized through naturalization

 @B9XJ4ZC from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

In the long run, setting up a wall on the southern border will save us lots of time and money in future cases of illegal border crossings.

 @B9XXZGX from New York  disagreed…4mos4MO

i think we should have a border wall so illegals cant get in our country and get away with not paying and do things that every Americans have to do.

 @B9YHK5G from Georgia  commented…4mos4MO

They shouldn't be entering the country illegally. If they want to live here come here through legal citizenship.

 @BCJYSL4 from California  disagreed…2mos2MO

I think that there should be a border no matter the cost because people shouldn’t be coming here illegally

 @BCNXBSLRepublican  from Texas  disagreed…2mos2MO

The border needs to be secured and it is important to keep legal citizens safe from foreign criminals.

 @BCNXBSLRepublican  from Texas  disagreed…2mos2MO

The border needs to be secured and it is important to keep legal citizens safe from foreign criminals.

 @BCPBDD3Republican  from Arkansas  disagreed…2mos2MO

We have to do something about the illegal immagrants coming into the country, and if you want open borders that is super dangerous.

 @BCSTT7J from Texas  disagreed…1mo1MO

I get that a border wall costs a lot, but the bigger point is comparing that cost to the long-term costs of illegal crossings, trafficking, and drug smuggling. The wall isn’t supposed to be a stand-alone fix. It works best as one part of a larger border security strategy with technology and personnel, which can make enforcement more effective over time.

 @BC3CRQ4 from Illinois  disagreed…2mos2MO

I think that there should be a border no matter the cost because people shouldn’t be coming here illegally

 @BBWTJFD from Ohio  disagreed…3mos3MO

Illegal aliens are killing americans and need to be stopped. Dangerous cartels are resonsible for thousands of drug overdoses and that should not be allowed into this country.

 @BBJ9ZF3 from Colorado  disagreed…3mos3MO

Theres never to high a price to pay for Boarder Security, because Boarder Security is National Security

 @B9YPZ3Q from Arizona  disagreed…4mos4MO

It would keep our country safe from foreign, dangerous immigrants and would decrease the drug flow into our country over the border from Mexico. Even though the cost is high, it is worth the price.

 @B9XSCWX from South Carolina  disagreed…4mos4MO

This is our country and you have to earn the right to be protected and safe. If you have to try to climb a wall to get across to freedom, then you obviously do not deserve to be here.

 @B9VF5WH from Ohio  disagreed…4mos4MO

We need to put a wall up to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in and taking over our towns and cities. They are also taking job opportunities from us even with them not being able to communicate with us.

 @B9NTPHN from Tennessee  disagreed…4mos4MO

The border wall will provide safety and keep dangerous people out of the United States. If they want to come, they can do it the correct way, as American citizens are expected to do in other countries.

 @BCSQ5VW from Tennessee  disagreed…1mo1MO

It doesn't matter; illegals are ruining this beautiful country and should be kicked out until they become citizens of the U.S.

 @BBD2VD8 from California  disagreed…3mos3MO

Although it's true that the wall will cost money, it still prevents many people from crossing the country illegally or without documentation. This further affects the country and, in a way, limits, even if only slightly, the flow of drugs into the country.

 @B9YM7NQ from Colorado  disagreed…4mos4MO

Having a border doesn't matter in terms of the price. It is to keep illegal immigrants out of the country

 @BCSN4ZY from New York  disagreed…1mo1MO

Building a wall is something that we should have done a long time ago. Lets say 30 million un invited people came into your country. I wiuld deport them and send them back to the country.

 @BBS2ZBX from North Carolina  disagreed…3mos3MO

Money can be replenished. The lives that the illegal aliens are taking cannot be replaced with cash.

 @BB26RKF from Illinois  disagreed…4mos4MO

we have plenty of money to spend, illegals are destroying this country and increase security not just a wall

 @B9XF976 from Illinois  disagreed…4mos4MO

Without the Border wall our country would collapse. Either way, we are spending way too much money on the Illegal Immigrants staying here. If we do mass deportations, it would be effective.

 @B9LV5D5Independent from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

What is important to us Americans it to ensure the safety of all Americans by keeping out the drugs that come across the border as well as the violent criminals that cross that border every day. It might not be very effective, but if it discourages traffickers and drug cartels from taking advantage it is worth it.

 @BCJJGX7Republican from Missouri  disagreed…2mos2MO

the more money we put into the border wall, the less illegal immigrant can come into the country and cause trouble and harm to our people

 @BB2MSRBdisagreed…4mos4MO

We have to figure out something to do. If we don't build the wall, then it is way too easy for illegals to get in to the US.

 @B9ZZJ9F from New Jersey  disagreed…4mos4MO

A wall does not have to be built across the entire border; it can be built only in the busiest crossing areas where it helps the most. In those spots, a barrier can slow people down and give border agents more time to respond, which can reduce repeat crossings. If it is combined with cameras, sensors, and better staffing, it can be more effective and not just a waste of money.

 @BCJM8WSRepublican from Indiana  disagreed…2mos2MO

We need to protect our citizens, especially those residing closest to the border, from the illegals who are swarming in. ALL illegals should be deported back to where they came from, immediately. They are not entitled to our tax dollars to fund their being here, illegally.

 @BB22CPK  from Arizona  disagreed…4mos4MO

It wouldn't be ineffective if it showed improvement with deportation rates and keeping illegal immigrants out of the U.S.

 @BCNXBSLRepublican  from Texas  disagreed…2mos2MO

The border needs to be secured and it is important to keep legal citizens safe from foreign criminals.

 @B9PZK3M  from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

Do you really want thousands of immigrants coming in to OUR country!?? They will harm our country, and hurt the economy. Would you rather spend money on fixing global warming and the economy? Things that don't matter. We need a wall! A big tall wall! We also need more military forces down there.

 @BDMJRF6 from California  disagreed…1wk1W

Do you like a front door on your house and do you want people coming into your house without warning?

 @BDKB9D8 from Florida  disagreed…2wks2W

My best counter argument is that the wall can stop the dangerous gang members or dangerous immigrants from entering in general.

 @BDK7WCM from Ohio  disagreed…2wks2W

Our country doesn't need anymore illegal immigrants. While some of them are really just trying to get jobs to support their families, even those people should do the right thing and come to the country legally. Then there's the ones who come to the country only to cause violence. There are more murders and drug trafficking in the U.S. then there ever has been and it is mostly due to illegal immigrants. Putting up a border would significantly decrease these problems we are currently facing.

 @BD3R68Z  from Virginia  disagreed…1mo1MO

It would cost a lot more than it would to build a wall if we just kept the flow of illegal criminals up instead of doing something about it. The fact is that the American people are being harmed by not only the drugs being brought in but also the human trafficking. You cannot just ignore the security of the country because you do not want to spend the money to do something about it. Deporting people is not free so it cannot be the only long-term solution to protecting the American people. In the long run, it would cost less to build a wall than in would to pay ICE and the police and get the drugs out of the country. The wound needs to be packed permanently instead of continuing to put Band-Aids on it over and over again. The safety of the American people matters and cannot be ignored!

 @BD33R5R from North Carolina  disagreed…1mo1MO

The underlining problem is that the country would benefit from regulating the boarder and getting majority out. having unaccounted for humans in the country js raises potential for unsolved crime

 @BCZFSGG from North Carolina  disagreed…1mo1MO

Of course, building a wall along the southern border may be a bit to expensive and ineffective, but strengthening it would help enforce immigration, as well as preventing narco-terrorism (drug cartels).

 @BCXQSKT from Missouri  disagreed…1mo1MO

I think we should have a border wall because it will allow our country to be more safe and protect people. It will limit the amount of drugs and bad things in our country.

 @BCXJL5H from Oregon  disagreed…1mo1MO

It depends, we need a strong border, but we shouldn’t oppose nature, it destroys land, so if it’s costly but also doesn’t impose nature, I believe it’s worth almost any price.

 @BCXJ9WD from Delaware  disagreed…1mo1MO

I think it needs to be put up even if it is too costly because immigrants are probably costing us more money in total then it would cost for a wall to be put up

 @BCX9LBXRepublican from South Carolina  disagreed…1mo1MO

I think the cost would be worth it in the end if we are protecting US citizens from potential foreign threats easily coming to our country.

 @BCX8FQVRepublican from Indiana  disagreed…1mo1MO

It will be effective because it will eliminate the ability for people to just walk in to the US, we want a secure border and a secure country.

 @BCW9XV4 from Louisiana  disagreed…1mo1MO

If you want to save money so much then maybe having less immigrants in our country would save some money.

 @BCW97L6 from North Carolina  disagreed…1mo1MO

It is the duty of any decent government to defend the Borders of the Nation. No matter what it costs.

 @BCW7QMFRepublican from Michigan  disagreed…1mo1MO

it would nearly ensure the complete security of the southern border and protect Americans from the cartel and illegal immigrants, It would be a wise investment

 @BCW82S6Republican from Tennessee  disagreed…1mo1MO

We should care about the well being of American citizens , dollars don’t matter when it comes to safety

 @BCVYCHW from Alabama  disagreed…1mo1MO

We would need this to have protection and we need a strong border wall to provide safety for our citizens.

 @BCVFBFF from Minnesota  disagreed…1mo1MO

It is effective because illegal people will not br able to climb over it, so the U.S will be more safe without those illegal people.

 @BCS974KRepublican from Georgia  disagreed…1mo1MO

If we don't keep all these people iligally entering the us, it would be unfair to the US people for their rights, if there are so many people who aren't supposed to be here, then how would you know if they're legal or not?

 @BCPGMPV from Michigan  disagreed…2mos2MO

The protection of the sovereignty of the nation and its people out weigh that of any monetary value.

 @BCP7GWN from Illinois  disagreed…2mos2MO

I believe 'too' costly shows short sighted and an excuss allowing people of unknown character, back ground and intents to disregard our laws and enter USA illegally. Increasing the potential risk of safety for myself, family, community, fellow citizens of USA. As for ineffective Border Wall, President Trump already proved the Border Wall and sound policy of border enforcement works.

 @BCP6ZK3Republican from Michigan  disagreed…2mos2MO

It would improve safety of US citizens and would stop the drug flow from Mexico so build a wall so they cannot climb over

 @BCNNLN7Republican from Pennsylvania  disagreed…2mos2MO

The U.S. already spends tens of billions annually on enforcement, detention, healthcare, and social services tied to illegal crossings.
A wall is a one-time (or long-term capital) investment, like infrastructure (roads, dams, military bases).
Even partial reductions in crossings can offset costs over time

 @BCNDV93from Maine  disagreed…2mos2MO

It is more costly to deport all illegal immigrants that drain and worsen the economy. If they aren’t illegal, they can come through legal entry points, not trespass illegally. We are defending our land.

 @BCNC2H6 from Texas  disagreed…2mos2MO

It's important to keep dangerous illegal immigrants out of our country and various cartel groups that send drugs over the border and excessive violence. People wanting to come into the country need to go through the legal process instead of boarder hopping to insure that dangerous individuals are not allowed to come into the country easily.

 @BCMW9TC from Virginia  disagreed…2mos2MO

The border wall may be a little costly, but in the end it will keep illegal immigrants out of our country. This will improve cities on the Tex-Mex border such as El Paso.

 @BC8VP9SRepublican from Virginia  disagreed…2mos2MO

it cost a lot more taking care illegals and get people medical care for drugs that come over the border

 @BC896YDRepublican from Idaho  disagreed…2mos2MO

We are taxed on literally everything, their is nothing that our taxes cant go to that would make building a wall expensive.

 @BC88C7TRepublican from New Jersey  disagreed…2mos2MO

The illegal immigrants are coming here and killing and hurting innocent people. They can wait in line. Spending more money is worth innocent American lives.

 @BC6PF59Republicandisagreed…2mos2MO

While building a border wall has upfront costs, it is an investment that can significantly reduce illegal crossings and drug trafficking, ultimately saving taxpayer money on law enforcement and social services. Effective physical barriers paired with technology can provide long-term security that purely staffing the border cannot achieve

 @BC5WXNV from Maryland  disagreed…2mos2MO

The united states of america funnels money to the middle east via proxy to essentially help other foreign countries with their conflicts, considering our enormous national debt deficit. Our primary focus should be domestic, especially considering a vast number of inheritable issues that the democrats cost. If you search up the definition of a country, you cant define a country without using the term "border" or some feasible sense of national security defense protecting the people inside said land. are there alternatives sure, but domestic Americans safety should be the commander in chief primary position and investing home should be increasingly crucial.

 @BC57DMV from North Carolina  disagreed…2mos2MO

Then you are allowing all sorts of drug traffickers and rapists into our country to impact us negatively and put us at risk.

 @BC3JMJ9 from Massachusetts  disagreed…2mos2MO

If there is no wall, then the cartel can walk into america like walking into a street; too easy, the wall needs to be there.

 @BBXZ3G3 from Iowa  disagreed…3mos3MO

It’s worth it to defend against drugs and evil people. We do however have to make it easier to do it legally

 @BBX39JB from Georgia  disagreed…3mos3MO

We need to build a wall every time more immigrants get let in it increases population, and there have been many cases of violent crimes with illegal immigrants.

 @BBWX2L6Republican from Missouri  disagreed…3mos3MO

I would say that it is effective and is keeping illegal aliens out of the U.S. and force them to become a legal citizen the correct way

 @BBWWXNY from Nebraska  disagreed…3mos3MO

And providing medicare wouldn't? Providing food/shelter/water and health care for illegal immigrants wouldn't cost too much either? If someone enters illegally, then they should be deported, and we shouldn't provide insurance for them along with citizenship for their kids. The wall should be funded.

 @BBV5X76Republican from Missouri  disagreed…3mos3MO

It will be cheaper then to have to spend so much money hunting and finding the illegal immigrants it it would be pretty effective

 @BBTZH66 from Minnesota  disagreed…3mos3MO

That it would stop illegal aliens and drugs from entering our country and terrorizing towns across the nation.

 @BBTVFD2 from Missouri  disagreed…3mos3MO

It will save money if we keep our illegal immigrants because the Gov won't have to pay as much in expenses.

 @BBTTFJ9Republican from Ohio  disagreed…3mos3MO

Looking at rates of immigration before and after the use of a border wall shows that it is effective in stopping immigration (southern border crossing rate has dropped to nearly 0 since Trump 2.0. Cost is an irrelevant argument. We spend more on almost any other social program already.

 @BBRD723 from California  disagreed…3mos3MO

By creating a border the US would become safer and we wouldn't have half of the immigration issues we have today.

 @BBR9Q99 from Maryland  disagreed…3mos3MO

It'd be worth it since illegal drugs are being smuggled into the US and illegal aliens are entering the country when they shouldn't; be.

 @BBR9BS7 from Maryland  disagreed…3mos3MO

It won't be too costly and ineffective when a family member of yours dies from an fentanyal overdose due to mexican drug peddaling that is untrue.

 @BBQZTGW from Pennsylvania  disagreed…3mos3MO

We need to have a wall, id rather have something there to keep murderers out rather than have nothing and murderers pour into our country

 @BBPRLZCRepublican from North Carolina  disagreed…3mos3MO

It would not be ineffective if its keeping americans safe. Most of the illegals that have been caught by ice has been a child molester or a felon.

 @BBPP3HN from South Carolina  disagreed…3mos3MO

Its necessary due to the fact that keeping illegal immigrants out for safety and national health reasons.

 @BBPKSYC from North Carolina  disagreed…3mos3MO

Immigrants taking jobs from citizens and the amount of government spending put towards homing immigrants and/or relocating them costs a lot too. We should put money into keeping them out rather than spending money to support them or get rid of them once they are here.

 @BBN3LN8 from California  disagreed…3mos3MO

In the long run the border will save us from having to spend so much money on deportations and immigration laws, so it would actually be more effective.

 @BBMPV54 from South Carolina  disagreed…3mos3MO

Would you rather illegal immigrants to come in our country and rape and kill woman and children? We should increase cost on the border to prevent illegals in our country. To decrease drugs in our countries. To prevent people like Laken Riley from dying.

 @BBDBJH8 from Texas  disagreed…3mos3MO

It will keep our borders safe, help keep drug and child traffickers out and keep American jobs for Americans which in turn should create less poverty and a safer Country to live in.

 @BBD3P92Republican from California  disagreed…3mos3MO

Even though it costs a lot, a border wall could still help reduce illegal crossings in some areas and improve border security when combined with other methods.

 @BBCY3LX from South Carolina  disagreed…3mos3MO

It’s better then spending millions on facilities, employees, vehicles, planes to deport all illegals
