Yes, if they have finished parole/probation, were all a nation we should be able to vote for who is in control

 @9S59WDCConstitution from North Dakota  answered…9mos9MO

No, except for those who have served their sentence, parole/probation, and had the right to vote restored after their case and chance of recidivism are reviewed by the court.

 @9HTW75B from North Dakota  answered…1yr1Y

No, if the crime committed was murder, rape, sexual assault, terrorism, or something involving pedophilia.

 @9FVLH94Republican from North Dakota  answered…2yrs2Y

Very tricky to say because everyone should be given the right to such a thing, but it should all depend on what the said criminal is convicted of

 @8RB5DJT from North Dakota  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only after serving their sentences and parole/probation, then spending 5 years without committing another crime

 @96MM8WV from North Dakota  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but there should be a standard on who can vote, for example felons should be excluded and they should have completed their sentence and any parole/probation.

 @963BZPK from North Dakota  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, most people would think that convicted felons and violent crime offenders shouldn't be able to vote, however there are unfortunately some people that are convicted felons unfairly, and the justice system did them wrong. For me it all just depends on the situation.

 @8Z86S95Independent from North Dakota  answered…3yrs3Y

It should be determined at the time of their conviction whether they can vote in the future.

Yes. Laws can be unjust. In order to fight to fix unjust laws that victimized an individual, the ability to vote should be considered essential.

 @8RQ5CJM from North Dakota  answered…4yrs4Y

Depends. Im willing to allow criminals for minor things like robbing or using drugs vote. However, I think there should be a limit to who can vote in the jail. High tier criminals should not be allowed but low criminals, I do not necessarily mind.

Yes as long as your sentence does not have to do with any type of assault

Every citizen should get to vote, even criminals. Most people who are convicted criminals were framed or did it by accident, some had full intent on it. But even after throwing their lives away they should be able to vote, it is still a part of their rights.

 @8FXG8PR from North Dakota  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes - for most - after they have served their sentence. No for those convicted of murder or violent crimes.

 @8DLC762 from North Dakota  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes. There have been and still are people who have been wrongly accused, tried and sentenced because of the unjust nature of our courts system.

 @8CVY6N8Independent from North Dakota  answered…5yrs5Y

i think yes and no because yes because i think it depends on what kind of crime you did if its something really bad then no but if its just like assault or shop lifting or going to jail only for couple of day its fine but higher then no they shouldn't be allowed to vote

 @8C8XQ9C from North Dakota  answered…5yrs5Y

Depends on the crime committed. Small charges you should be able to right away, medium charges after you complete your parole/probation and large crimes like murder, kidnap, rape,etc you should not be allowed to

 @9D3363F from North Dakota  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but only after completing their sentences and parole/probation, except for felons.

 @9B2TVB2 from North Dakota  answered…2yrs2Y

Financial, physical, treason or sexual crimes shouldn’t allow people to vote

 @98WN8FG from North Dakota  answered…2yrs2Y

 @989MMNV from North Dakota  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes after completing their sentence and showing no sings of committing crimes again.

 @986J9S4Republican from North Dakota  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, if the thing they went to prison for is minor if it was a serious crime they should not be able to vote

 @982Z8NQ from North Dakota  answered…2yrs2Y

 @97GJBKN from North Dakota  answered…3yrs3Y

It depends on the crime. Those convicted of voter-fraud, bribery, and other politically-adjacent crimes should have their right to vote stripped.

 @93F4WT6 from North Dakota  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, after rehab and proven mental stability and morality. Not if psychopath/sociopath.

 @8SRLQ4H from North Dakota  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8N7CNY5 from North Dakota  answered…5yrs5Y
