So…. Not a single poll had Alsobrooks winning by anywhere close to double digits, elections absolutely can break late, and campaigns matter.

Feels like there are some lessons to be learned here for idk future elections.

David Trone set $57 million of his own money on fire to lose a primary election to County Executive Angela Alsobrooks. Trone said attending “public school”, not having “indoor plumbing” & “growing up in a family that was destroyed by alcoholism” makes him relatable. To who?

All that money David “Drone” put in his campaign could have been used for much better causes. Congratulations Angela, now go beat that fake moderate Larry Hogan.

Is winning an election more about the money spent or the message delivered? Which should it be?

How important do you think it is for a candidate to be 'in touch' with their constituents rather than just financially capable?

Do you believe personal wealth should play a significant role in political campaigns, or should there be limits?

What does it say about political elections when a candidate can spend millions of their own money? Is it fair?
