Is it the government's role to regulate businesses to protect the environment, even if it means lower profits for those businesses?

 @9H9V9D4 from Missouri  answered…2yrs2Y

I think there has to be a middle ground, because on one hand big corporations can take that hit, smaller businesses would probably be the most harmed.

 @9HCMHRQ from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes. Many businesses cannot be trusted with environmental protection, and the government should be able to regulate them.

 @9HCKSZV from Georgia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, because without our environment remaining healthy and unpolluted, we will deal with enduring issues that prevent us from further growth and advancement as a society due to health issues, resources being used up, and our environment being destroyed.

 @9H7RVCD from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Gov't should stay out of businesses unless relevant. It wouldn't make sense if the gov started controlling a restaurant full of its own tax payers. Who probably wouldn't be happy. The only regulations gov should be doing is "Wages" and maybe be a bit more strict on sanitation, employee safety, basic importance's.

How important do you think it is for everyone to have the same access to education, regardless of their family's income?

 @9KFNG6CDemocratanswered…1yr1Y

I believe it is extremely important to ensure that the majority of the population is well educated and has equal access to said education regardless of income.

 @9KJPGFN from Utah  disagreed…1yr1Y

I don’t agreed that everybody needs to attend college. There are tons of different ways to make money

 @9MWX9T3Reform from Connecticut  commented…1yr1Y

Equal access is the question. Everyone who wants to attend higher education options should have equal access to do so. Of course not everyone should go to college, but equal access would include trade programs and such. Building an educated and skilled workforce that includes all is the goal.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1yr1Y

How does the idea of equal access to healthcare for all make you feel about the society you live in?

 @9KFPWMY from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

I believe everyone should have equal access to healthcare if we truly want to help people and provide care to those who need it.

 @9KFNCPY from Missouri  answered…1yr1Y

I think this is a good thing for people with health problems and debilities.

 @9KFN6ZR from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1yr1Y

Would it make you more or less competitive if you knew that your basic needs would always be covered by government safety nets?

 @9JT2FZTDemocrat from Arizona  answered…1yr1Y

Put ease and worry about making sure I have enough money or support if the government provided my basic needs.

 @9JQ5SGF from Connecticut  answered…1yr1Y

I think that it wouldnt change my mentality because I hope I will be above and not need my basic needs covered

 @9JQ5RZF from Connecticut  answered…1yr1Y

I think that it wouldn't change my mentality because I want to achieve what I want to achieve which is more than what covers my basic needs.

How would you feel about a society where public transportation is excellent but personal vehicle taxes are higher?

 @9KCL6PW from Louisiana  answered…1yr1Y

i would feel as if its unfair, people shouldnt pay more for driving in their own vehicle

How would you feel about a policy that redistributes unused houses to the homeless, potentially changing the dynamics of real estate investment?

 @9JC6X43Democrat from Oklahoma  answered…1yr1Y

I think that is a good idea; everyone deserves to have a safe home to sleep in.

 @9JDSKK8Constitution from Oklahoma  disagreed…1yr1Y

Our constitution is based upon freedom, what you propose is illegal appropriation of private property

 @9JC6Z5L from Nebraska  answered…1yr1Y

I think it's a good idea that the homeless should use unused houses because they shouldn't sleep in cold, frizzy, snowy, and rainy nights.

 @9JC7F6MLibertarian from Alabama  answered…1yr1Y

I don’t think giving unused homes to the homeless is a good idea. It is supporting lazy behavior to give them something they didn’t earn. The housing market for working individuals would also sky rocket causing homes only to be affordable for the rich.

How might the promise of debt-free higher education change your approach to choosing a career or pursuing your passion?

 @9JKWSHYRepublican from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

 @9JKWZ8D from Wyoming  answered…1yr1Y

 @9JKX6K8 from Georgia  answered…1yr1Y

I could choose a career in the medical or law field because the expenses would not be as great.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1yr1Y

If a wealthy individual’s taxes ensured your access to a world-class education, would that change your perspective on wealth and responsibility?

 @9JJNBZM from New York  answered…1yr1Y

no because you should have to sacrifice to gain not someone else

 @9JN9FYP from Arizona  agreed…1yr1Y

Automatically assuming an individuals success, ensures another’s failure, is a folly. Work hard and stay the course. If you graduate from high school, stay at a job, don’t have kids out of wedlock and get married. Your chances of landing in the middle class are extremely high.

 @9JJN7KY from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

it does not because anyone can become wealthy with the right choices and doesn't always need education to do so

If you knew your favorite products were made ethically and workers were paid fairly, would you mind paying more?

 @9HTLV54 from Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes I would mind paying more, the coverage of workers shouldn't be the consumers responsibility but rather the governments duty to protect its citizens from being take advantaged of.

 @9HVVJTZ from Wisconsin  disagreed…2yrs2Y

workers should be paided fairly already forgien products where they use child labor we should boycott

 @9HVTBYN from Virginia  disagreed…2yrs2Y

The cost of producing a product is often a great expense to a company that should be compensated by those who desire it, and not the government. More so if time was taken to make it well.

 @9HTLSLZGreen from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Yeah I would, but we should try to keep it as inexpensive as possible so people are able to afford it.

 @9HXWPNX  from Texas  disagreed…2yrs2Y

I wouldn't mind paying more if I knew the money was going to the people who make the product first, then going to pay for the rest of the business. However, I don't think this would require paying more, just that businesses prioritize paying the right people.

 @9HTLGWZ from Indiana  answered…2yrs2Y

I would rather pay more for a product that is ethical than pay less for one that isn't

 @9HTDW8C from Texas  commented…2yrs2Y

Paying higher taxes in order to fill the pockets of the rich is theft. However, paying higher taxes to support the overall wellbeing of the people, including oneself, is worth it.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Do you think having free college education for everyone is worth higher taxes?

 @9H7KDK5Republican from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

Collage is an option that you decide to do. You can get a good stable way of income without college.

 @9H7K6XJ from Missouri  answered…2yrs2Y

Economic progressivism has not inevitable due to democratic or populist beliefs and should be put in to law by factual and lawful order/judgment.

 @9H7KFF5 from Missouri  answered…2yrs2Y

No because I think some of the money would go to waste on people that wouldn't use the degree or college experience correctly.

 @9H7JYFLRepublican from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

I think that college education should come with a price, or else there is nothing special about it. If you are not paying anything, the level or quality at which you are being taught will be lesser.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Would you be more motivated to succeed if you knew everyone had an equal start in life?

 @9HXDRCV from Indiana  answered…2yrs2Y

I think yea , because it would be more like who is been more and who is not . Yes because people that way have the same things and no one has like advantage

 @9HXDHFNPeace and Freedom  from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

Progressivism is best expressed with fascism. Fascist Socialism: “it is Government and not the nominal private owners that exercise all of the substantive powers of ownership: it, not the nominal private owners, decide what is to be produced, in what quantity, by what methods, and to whom it is to be distributed, as well as what prices will be charged and what wages will be paid, and what dividends or other income the nominal private owners will be permitted to receive.”

 @9HXD3V9Independent from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes I would be more motivated as I would not have to worry about others less fortunate than me.

Do you believe that everyone, regardless of their job, deserves to have a secure retirement?

 @9H4X6SM from North Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9H4YW8R from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

I believe that they do deserve a secure retirement after having some time in the working field. It is good to know that someone can enjoy their life with family after spending a great amount of that time stuck and providing money for those who needed it.

 @9H4XJD6 from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

No. This is a capitalist society and you get what you earn. If someone did not save and invest well for retirement then that is on them.

Would the dream of becoming a millionaire be as appealing if it meant paying more to support public welfare?

 @9HYZ6Z3 from Wisconsin  answered…2yrs2Y

I think as long as your still consistently a millionaire, it would be just as appealing because you're still a millionaire. But the point isn't to not want people to be millionaires so I guess it doesn't matter.

 @9J52NTH from Nevada  disagreed…1yr1Y

Beign amillionaire you must be creative and advance our technology or an aspect of oour countrys society ina way to then have customers and profit. Your products must be innovative to have profits and with th enow new payments of public welfare in which you must pay can hurt and damage the motivation for creative and potentially

 @9HYZ276 from Alabama  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9HYZGQ3Progressive from Oklahoma  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, I believe increasing taxes will not impact the lives and economic stability of millionaires. As a U.S citizen and millionaire it should be required to support others via paying more public welfare. Without an increase in support, many Americans and problems arise, creating a depleting society.

If your access to better schools depended on your parents' income, how might your view of 'equality of opportunity' change?

 @9HLFSHT from Washington  answered…2yrs2Y

If your parents make low money and it takes your child to a school with less opportunity and less learning, this would change what equality truly means. school systems aren't developed to determine where children are meant to be based on their social class. This is part of discrimination but towards their working class. a child parents income isn't who they define in their education.

 @9HP2HXHDemocrat from Indiana  answered…2yrs2Y

I think the wealthy should pay their fair share of taxes because some people cannot afford to pay taxes, and if they’re paying more than the rich then our system isn’t fair.
