Not all immigrants are involved with crime and are only looking for new opportunities to support their families and themselves. Instead, they should provide fair trial and investigation to then consider whether or not they should be deported, and if not, they should get a chance to live in America because they haven't done anything wrong but work hard and hope for a better future.

all illegal are most certainly involved with crime because coming here illegally is a crime, and that is not supporting their families by doing illegal stuff.

If you live in the US, someone in your bloodline was an immigrant. Who cares how they got there, a person is a person, and should be allowed to live.

Back then, immigration was more controlled. Now, it has gotten out of hand. Green card holders are legally here though not legal citizens yet. It's the ones who don't even apply for a residency we need to deport. Also the ones who don't provide us with any labor or economic contribution need to go.

1. It is a practical impossibility to deport millions of people.
2. If it were possible, it would be ruinously expensive.
3. If possible and affordable, it would be inhumane to break up families, to disrupt peaceable people who contribute to our society, to return people to countries where they have no/weak ties and may be unable to speak the language or find a job, to deport people who themselves did not break the law because they were brought here as children, to dump people into dangerous circumstances due to crime or living conditions.
4. We have a treaty obligation to permit those seekin…  Read more

THEY ARE PEOPLE!!??? You're going to send them back to a warzone or something because they haven't filled out the correct paperwork? Why don't we just make them fill out the paperwork instead of deporting them and likely separating them from friends and family members. Who cares if they broke a clerical law by not registering correctly - it's hard to become a citizen! Does no one else have empathy???

Not all immigrants have committed harsh crimes and they should be able to choose where they live and have peace and freedom and not have to worry every day and every second if it will be the last time that they ever see their loved ones again.

I think it depends on why they're here illegally. If they came here legally but stayed longer than they were allowed to, that makes them illegal immigrants, but it also means they passed through proper security and had permission to be here previously. If that problem can be solved with a simple form and a fine, it would cost us a lot less money than a lengthy deportation process involving several agencies and the cost of flying them back to their country.

No because most illegal immigrants contribute a lot to the economy, without them or economy would be in ruins

 @B4HS9PN from Florida  disagreed…3mos3MO

Just because a person might come into the country illegally does not mean they are involved in any criminal activities, thus they should get the same treatment as others

who can say who owns a country i believe people should be able to live where they please obviously they have to work to get the position their in

 @9H58QZSDemocratfrom Maine  disagreed…2yrs2Y

They should be given a chance to gain citizenship before being deported straight back to their country. especially if they already have created a life for themself

Although illegal immigrants should be turned over to federal authorities and deported, illegal immigrants should be given the choice to make a change in order to ensure that they will stay in the U.S.

 @9JMYQX9  from Texas  disagreed…1yr1Y

Our economy could not survive without the work they do. Plus, the crime rate among illegal immigrants is statistically lower than the rest of the population. The media unfairly highlight crime acts committed by illegals. Most of them are harmless and deporting them would break up families b

I believe not all illegal immigrants should be deported because in most cases it wasn't their choice to come to the united states. and regardless the United States should be a country where people go for a better life and for freedom like what Americans wanted. It is not fair that a long time ago when the United States was created that the country was made by a bunch of immigrants but now they aren't allowed? especially if those immigrants haven't done any type of harm they should not be deported.
