It isn't inherently fair to the officers who have worked for their role as respectable first responders but it also isn't fair to the citizens suffering from police brutality from the more common volatile and abusive officers. What we should do is implement stricter training and harsher punishments for the kinds of officers who abuse their power and serve said officers with lawsuits and threaten jail-time.
