Even though it’s apart of history and people have different views I say yes, because the world should show/ represent equality and even thought keeping them could show how it changes it could lead to more misunderstandings/debates

It depends on which specific monuments. Cause destroying an old plantation house that is now a museum would be erasing and forgetting history for future generations to learn from.
