It depends on the reasons behind the misgendering. Is it because of legal status issues, or intentional disregard for the child? The topic is too nuanced for a simple answer.

I believe if they are harming them in any way emotionally and physically because they do not agree with their child, they should lose custody.

No the should not lose custody but something should be done to try to prevent it our make it law and allowing the child to do what they want to do instead of misgendering them so young

This is stupid thats still their child and should not lose custody for calling them the gender they are.
