Corporations would rather choke and die than give someone a livable wage, so I have very low expectations of being given a raise.

Unlikely, without Unions or close relations to employers, rights as a worker to ask for a raise just lowers.

The odds of employers giving me a raise compared to a year ago are pretty low. As technology begins to run the industry.
