Should the state spend $600 million building affordable multi-family housing for veterans?
The 2014 Veterans Housing and Homeless Prevention Bond Act will redirect $600 million from a 2008 bond to build multi-family housing for veterans. The 2008 bond gave funds directly to veterans to buy homes but was put on hold due to the recession and the vast depreciation of the housing market.
