“Much of the plan is funded through cuts to Medicare, which should have been enacted before extending insurance to the uninsured a minimum of 5 years. There is a great deal of turbulence within and among health care providers eager to still get their share, and Medicare has yet to prove that money is being saved in the amount needed to fund the insurance provisions of ACA2010. Currently the employed/insured who are covered are paying for the uninsured. Many of the premiums for middle class income workers fail to meet the new Federal definition of "affordable." This is leading to resentment among the working middle class and will result in a backlash against the Obama Administration and his party among the 42% of us who call ourselves Independents.”
