While it's true that Planned Parenthood provides abortion services, it's important to note that federal funding cannot be used for abortions except in cases of rape, incest or when the woman's life is in danger, as per the Hyde Amendment. Also, abortions make up only about 3% of the services Planned Parenthood provides, with the rest being crucial healthcare services like STI testing, cancer screening and family planning.
However, it is also true that there are other centers that offer similar services. But can we ensure that these centers are equally accessible and affordable to all, especially those in rural or low-income areas where Planned Parenthood often serves as the primary healthcare provider?
