Yes, critical race theory should be taught but only in the teenage years as students will be mature enough to understand real-world, multi-faceted issues. Just enough emphasis should be placed but not too much. Critical race theory should not be regarded as the end-all-be-all and it should be a tool to create a more egalitarian society only. Race is a social construct without a basis in biology. It is only ideological. Students should not be raised to think they are inherently racist or disadvantaged based on skin color. Doing so is damaging to our future as a society. The new generations should not be held back from reaching their full potential by deeply ingrained notions about what race says about their place in the world.
