The "Race-Conscious" political ideology refers to a perspective that recognizes race as a significant and influential factor in social, economic, and political life. Rather than treating race as an irrelevant or purely individual characteristic, race-consciousness acknowledges the historical and ongoing impact of racial categories, discrimination, and systemic inequality.
