תא גזע הוא תא מיוחד שיש לו פוטנציאל להחליף רקמות שנפגעו על ידי מחלה או פציעה. השימוש בתאים אלו הוסדר על ידי ממשלת ארה"ב בשל הדיון האתי סביב השימוש בעוברים אנושיים (תאי גזע עובריים) במחקרם ובפיתוחם.

I agree with stem cell research but feel that strong restrictions must be placed against using cells from voluntarily aborted fetuses out of concern that fetuses could develop a "market value". Mothers should be allowed to donate their cord cells or those of miscarried babies.
