If an educator devotes a significant amount of time discussing the teachings of Jesus, although it may not be explicitly part of the curriculum, wouldn't that still be considered instruction on Christianity? The crux of the matter is that children are potentially being exposed to a subjective perspective on a topic that perhaps should be reserved for a more advanced academic setting, like a college elective course. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the Christianity example and if you believe it's appropriate for the teacher to be discussing it if she believes it's an objective part of history?
