Yes, but I would expand that to all immigrants already here being granted permanent amnesty. In general, I support a much easier immigration system, with easy pathways to citizenship following a background check.

they should be given amnesty (if not citizenship) for as long as they choose to stay on their own terms. if someone wants to be a citizen here, they’re welcome to be. america was built by immigrants.

They should be given a time period to prove they are innocent and to learn and understand what being an American is. They should be taught common laws that may have been different from their original country.

Yes, but I would grant all illegal immigrants permanent citizenship and amnesty.
