No, unless they have made an effort to work and buy insurance. Or they can use a government paid clinic.

 @8L8BCYZ from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

 @9DQNR7F from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

I guess, but they should also be encouraged to get citizenship through naturalization.

 @B5LSKNM from Florida  answered…2mos2MO

I feel like if they help pay taxes they should be able to cause they are helping with the costs and for the ones that can’t they should be treated and sent back if their country doesn’t have the equipment or technology because that’s going to end up costing us more

 @B5FV5CY from Florida  answered…3mos3MO

Yes, because healthcare is everyone's right and health is more important regardless to their immigration statue

 @B4WSZQ5 from Florida  answered…3mos3MO

Yes, but after treatment, evaluate their motives of immigration and ensure that their intentions are not illicit or unethical

 @B4WSYFP from Florida  answered…3mos3MO

Yes because it can prevent the start to a virus or sickness from spreading and not to deport them to have work for the government in nice workable conditions.

 @B4Q5L8C from Florida  answered…3mos3MO

Not until they go through the process of becoming a US citizen. Incentivizing and facilitating citizenship is a priority, as well as welcoming them.

 @B3X6R8W from Florida  answered…5mos5MO

Yes, If they are working and taxing is taken out for them, also if they have an emergency however emergency can vary based on the individuals.

 @B3NQ4PP from Florida  answered…5mos5MO

If you are illegal, you shouldn't get rights in the U.S. , If you are legal you be able to get things that other Americans do. Not for free.

 @B3797ZV from Florida  answered…5mos5MO

I dont think illegal immigrants should have access to subsidized health care, however if they are in life threatening situations they should be treated and influenced to become a US citizen to have this kind of access to health care.

 @B2YYDXY from Florida  answered…6mos6MO

If an immigrant is a tax paying working citizen, that is also working towards acquiring citizen ship then yes

 @B2YJXPZ from Florida  answered…6mos6MO

if they are acting as citizens and paying taxes with no criminal background then yes for more life-threatening and infectious disease

 @B2WMQPC from Florida  answered…6mos6MO

There needs to be a statute of limitations on when these people crossed, and depending on when they crossed the administration that allowed it must pay out of pocket for it.

 @B2RK9K2  from Florida  answered…6mos6MO

Yes, if they are coming from a country and a economic bracket where they would not have been able to obtain healthcare.

 @B2PMTB4 from Florida  answered…6mos6MO

They already do through the ERs and the hippocratic oath. Its inhumane to expect a person to die no matter their legal status. I don't think it makes sense to offer them Medicaid cards, but treatment in a govt sponsored ER is acceptable.

 @B2777HY from Florida  answered…7mos7MO

Yes they should have acess to healthcare if they are legal immigrants, and willing to pay with their options, with some aid, not to much to drain the economy and tax payer money, but they also must pick up responsibilities of all US citizens, and if they cane illegally then we care have care options but then deport them after if suspected of crimes

 @B25Z8ZD from Florida  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, in case the immigrant has to have medical treatment for any life-threatening conditions or infectious diseases. As well as providing any housing for their themselves and/or families, along with a subsidy from the government to help pay for any medication that is necessary. Copies from documents of their last residency must be required, along with medical history with their previous healthcare provider. If all documentation is submitted and validated by the government, then they are granted access for 1-2 years. Said time-frame is necessary for immigrants to legally immigrate to another country. If they do not find any access or aren’t capable of this, then they are to be granted any form of transport needed to travel.

 @B24GPW3 from Florida  answered…8mos8MO

I believe a basic level of treatment should be granted but depending if the people in question have a good enough income than no but it should be more relative to the situation

 @9ZXDW24 from Florida  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, however the entire system needs to be revisited. We can't have sick people walking around without proper care.

 @9ZWSFKYNo Labels from Florida  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, but only for more extreme cases (where one's life is endangered), although children should have full access regardless because they have nothing to do with their parents.

 @9ZQPHSH from Florida  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, if they are starting process for citizenship and pay taxes. This nation is a nation of immigrants. There is a doctoral thesis that could be written on this.

 @9ZMRGD7 from Florida  answered…8mos8MO

They should be required to put in the effort; however, certain situations may warrant a discussion or exception

 @9ZLB92C from Florida  answered…8mos8MO

Their children should have access, but they should get citizenship during treatment or at least work for it

 @9ZCNX95 from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

Yes for emergencies and such and or they pay taxes/contribute to our society, but also no while being allowed to purchase health care the same as a citizen can.

 @9ZBCT36 from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

It's a tough ethical question. No, but give them the option to become a legal citizen by filling out the proper paperwork and other materials.

 @9YHXSNDDemocrat from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

I believe that they should be given the help, however they should be made aware of the fact that because they are illegal, they will have to deal with those repercussions. I think the healthcare should provide a timed sanctuary.

 @9YCJNGW from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

in cases of need i belive if you want to be here there should be effort to be here and i think there should be a crutch for some who cant afford it

 @9Y8WT3SProgressive from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

All people should have access to healthcare and there should be a process to go through to get the ability to have their health prioritized before citizenship

 @9Y8H33D from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, but they should pay for it, and also the fact that they are illegal is insane get them out of there after being treated no tax dollars should be going to them at all.

 @9XXM4YWPeace and Freedom from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

Illegal immigrants should only be treated for major injuries, infections, or diseases, though the children should get a few more options.

 @9XWS9XH from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

It depends on what type of illegal immigrant. It's someone who is a refugee and is from a harsh background, looking for a chance to escape - give them a chance of help.

 @9XPGM4C from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

Illegal immigrants should be provided a path to citizenship or residency so they can pay into the system that they are able to benefit from.

 @9XGT3D8Women’s Equality from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, because they are still human beings, no matter how bad they are, their healthcare in their country may not be as good and they cannot get proper healthcare which may lead to the disease getting worse or starting diseases.

 @9XCWLDX from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, but they shouldn't get more help then american born citizens and immigrants that have been granted citizenship

 @9XBMS57 from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, if they are trust worthy enough and are mostly watched i think we should show them care, later on maybe they'd help us.

 @9X9HPPD from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

yes only for life threating stuff but they will be deported after they get treatment and are health enough to live in the world

 @9WVCZHPRepublican from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

I think illegal immigrants should not be entitled to state sponsored health care insurance. However, just as hospital emergency care cannot be refused to anyone in The United States, those services should not be withheld to them either. But the government shouldn’t be paying for those bills they may have, just as citizens without insurance must pay their own way.

 @9W6Z6RZNo Labels from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

I feel like it depends on the situation and the circumstances, however, everyone has a right to healthcare.

 @9W4CTVY from Florida  answered…9mos9MO

No, but in case of emergencies or infectious diseases, they should be treated and then immediately deported

 @9VW36R8 from Florida  answered…10mos10MO

The government should not subsidized healthcare. They should be allowed to purchase private health care. If they don't have money they should be treated and be responsible of paying it afterwards. They should receive legal support to have a way to become legal to start paying taxes and contribute to the economy of the country.

 @9VNBHJT from Florida  answered…10mos10MO

Yes, everyone living in American should have access to government-subsidized care - since we do not, then No, not until citizens do too.

 @9VFH9CQ from Florida  answered…10mos10MO

Yes, with limitations for adults. Children without limitation. They should also be able to purchase private healthcare for full care.

 @9VC3BKL from Florida  answered…10mos10MO

Yes, but also they should be granted citizenship assuming they meet the requirements. They should also pay taxes regardless of citizenship and have access to tax payer-funded utilities.

 @9TZYBBH from Florida  answered…10mos10MO

If they are illegal they shouldn't be here in the first place so no. If they do it the right way and become a citizen than yes.

 @9TZXMRQ from Florida  answered…10mos10MO

yes but the change of the citizenship test and helping immigrants is a better way is what we need to do.

 @9TZ7FY2 from Florida  answered…10mos10MO

Yes and no because everyone should have healthcare but what about the people who worked hard to get their citizenship the right way; in my opinion they deserve it more than the illegal immigrants.

 @9TYSNDY from Florida  answered…10mos10MO

The government should not interfere with the immigrants, unless they do a crime. They are the ones doing all the hard work that we Americans will no longer do. Go to a construction site and see who is doing the work. Who's cutting the grass for the rich, building, cleaning?

 @9TT442G from Florida  answered…10mos10MO

Yes, however they should have a background check done on them. If they are clean they can be granted citizenship.

 @9TKHTX9 from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

Yes if they been paying taxes for a year, They should be able to buy insurance for them and families, and should be able to receive emergency treatment

 @9TGKXRY from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

While there is no way to know, it is not good to assume that illegal immigrants are here for malicious reasons. They deserve as much as treatment as citizens do because they are alas only human. However, it should only really be allowed for emergencies and give them the chance to earn a green card. Illegal immigrants tend to be scared to seek one due to the strict laws, but we are not one to judge their situation unless they make it known that their motives for being here are malicious.

 @9T63CPN from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

I do believe illegal immigrants should be allotted healthcare, but once they are helped, they have background checks as well. Immigrants are people too, and deserve care, but sometimes immigrants may not have the best intentions and that should be looked into.

 @9STGS8JWomen’s Equality from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

Both children and adult under extreme conditions should both be able to get healthcare even if the are illegal immigrants.

 @9SGG52Z  from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, if they pay taxes or if they are dealing with life-threatening emergencies or infectious diseases

 @9SGF536 from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

Illegal Immigrants should be able to have the option to enlist in the US military to become citizens. When they are citizens, they should be granted these benefits

 @9SGC845 from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

I feel like the illegal immigrants coming to America to have a better life for their children and flee from danger in their home country should have access. But, they should also get a job and have the responsibilities as a normal American would.

 @9SDBRBS from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, but only if they pay taxes, and have been a resident for many years. Additionally, following treatment they should be put on the path to citizenship.

 @9S878TB from Florida  answered…12mos12MO

The government should aid these immigrants through the citizenship process and provide healthcare to these individuals.

 @9S84LNS from Florida  answered…12mos12MO

No, they are not citizens of our country, therefore they should not be allowed to have access the U.S healthcare.

 @9S82T3HRepublican from Florida  answered…12mos12MO

Yes, but only if they have been granted american citizen ship. To many of our own people are neglacted to be souly focused on others ouside of our country

 @9RWKHRG from Florida  answered…12mos12MO

Yes if they pay taxes and if they don’t, only in life threatening emergencies or infectious diseases.

 @9RV85GCRepublican from Florida  answered…12mos12MO

No, but once they’re given official legal reason for being in the US they should have access to all government subsidies

 @9RT95DC from Florida  answered…12mos12MO

Care which is necessary for public health (vaccines, birth control, infectious disease) should be covered for everyone regardless of status.

 @9RNNXFV from Florida  answered…12mos12MO

We, as people, should help others regardless of where they're from. At the same time, healthcare in the U.S. is an absolutely broken system that caters to healthcare providers, not the people. With that being said, we should still help illegal immigrants as much as reasonably possible, find out why they're there, and then decide whether to provide asylum or deport them from there.

 @9RJC24N from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

I disagree with our current healthcare system completely. I don’t think health insurance is the right solution.

 @9RH736H from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Not directly, but hospitals should be (and mostly are) required to treat anyone who needs it regardless of their ability to pay, with the government covering a reasonable cost for such care (*not* the blatantly exaggerated costs that hospitals charge patients and insurers).

 @9R8Z4P9 from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

No, grant any who wish to enter a conditional work visa and citizenship along with taxes and aid, after a set period of responsible employment, only children should recieve unconditional aid.

 @9R8YJNZ from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

No, unless they go though the legal process and become citizens which should be allowed to do without getting deported.

 @9QZ4D8V from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

As a Christian, I believe that if anyone is in need we as a person and believer should help them. So yes, I do think they should receive health care. But, this shouldn't be abused, if they are planning to stay in the country, they need to apply for citizenship and acquire their own health care. If they do not apply, then I think they should pay some sort of tax.

 @9QVMCMQ from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

There should be ways to apply for healthcare based help from the US government for for all people but this should not be a means of gaining entry or status within the US

 @9PJS6R4 from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Yes and grant them citizenship if they so desire and have lived here for more than 5 years and pay appropriate taxes

 @9NMLVL4 from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

All who pay taxes should receive healthcare. Children under any circumstance should receive healthcare. In life threatening emergencies, anyone should receive healthcare.

 @9NBS6HV from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Complex issue with complex solutions. The term 'illegal immigrants' has political implications and polarizes conversation - please stop.

 @9NBMSH3 from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

If they pay taxes they should receive what they're paying for. Their children should be allotted healthcare. In an emergency they should receive treatment.

 @9MGW62T from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

 @9MGVMJ7 from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

yes, if they are truly hurt and needing help but also msybe help them become a citizen if here for right reasons.

 @9M824DN from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

No, but they should be allowed to purchase their own and everyone has a right to receive medical attention no matter legal status

 @9M44G2R from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, we should move to single payer health care which would include all people who receive care inside the US.

 @9LY95GL  from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Only in the case of children, life threatening condition. But if they're paying taxes they sho to le have full access

 @9LTPFTHRepublican from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Yes but only if they pay taxes, part or all of the treatment costs, and if it’s for life-threatening diseases, injuries, etc.

 @9LJ3VDX from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

immigrants should be coming over legally and not crossing and living on streets. if they go through the process and are a US citizen for X amount of years then they can qualify for healthcare and if needed help by the government.

 @9LHCW68 from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

I think they should be able to get some help depending on what's wrong and until they get citizenship can they can receive the full benefits.

 @9LH3KG7 from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, we all should. And stop calling them "illegal immigrants". Many of them are here legally, waiting their turn to be processed by our obsolete legal system.

 @9L6ZJW9 from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Whether they're here in this country legally or not they shouldn't be denied health care. But they should have to pay for it

 @9KZJT37 from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

detain,treat for any life threatening illness ,disease or infection then deport back to country of origin

 @9KYLQ86 from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

yes, if they pay taxes as well as life threatening situations even without paying taxes. Citizenship should also be granted.

 @9KSDQGN from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

both yes for only for life threatening emergencies or infectious diseases and the should be deported after treatment, and they should be deported in general

 @9KLQDFK from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

They should only be treated if they are about to die and then they should leave and try to come in legally

 @9KDPDZF from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, because they might be looking to provide for their family in a new place to start fresh and should be granted access to government- subsidized healthcare to do so.

 @9KDHM9W from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Yes if they pay taxes or in extreme circumstances but we then we should have them apply or be granted citizenship.

 @9K9HZ5SLibertarian from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

If the immigrant chooses to become a citizen of the U.S, they can be given the rights of one. Including health care

 @9K8Y53DRepublican from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

They should apply for citizenship, and then yes be able to have access to healthcare, unless otherwise stated an emergency. Their children should have access to healthcare.

 @9K53QQH from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

While everyone should get a chance for healthcare, especially those who are just establishing themselves in our society, I FEEL that you need to have resided in the U.S. for a adequate amount of time to be entitled to free healthcare. However, do decrease the price of healthcare for immigrants as they most certainly don't have the funds to afford expensive treatment especially when they need it.

 @9K2N6RC from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

yes, if they pay taxes and grant them citizenship and if it is a life threatening emergency or infectious or contagious disease

 @9JVHYYQ from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Help them medically. Train them how to manage finances, life skills, and whatnot. Some immigration is illegal and we can't keep ignoring the law to seem weak. Understand why the want to come over and help them come over legally.

 @9JLK4BXSocialist from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, and make it easier for citizenship to be granted to those who entered the country as children. The fear of deportation shouldn’t have to loom over those who have lived in the country for most if not all of their life.
