This country has been built by mostly immigrants and theyre should be no reason to keep people in cages or want to kill them only because theyre trying to live a better life.

Regardless of who you are you should be able to have citizenship in the United States. It is supposed to be a safe haven for people to have freedom, and especially innocent children, deserve the same rights that everyone else has.

America is filled with different cultures and to not allow people to live in the most free country is to defy the idea of this being the land of the free, and the home of the brave.

Because children of illegal immigrants cannot choose who they are or where they were born, they should be granted legal citizenship if the plan is for them to remain there. It doesn't matter who their parents are or why they are there, they should be treated like anyone else.

Immigrants (legal and illegal) are the foundation of this country. Even the founding of this country could not occur without help from immigrants and refugees. In the early days of this country, immigrant labor built the railroads and boom towns. Now immigrants make up the working class. Supporting the rich who think life would be better without them. Without immigration, this country collapses.

Most Immigrant coming from different countries are only coming to make a better life for themselves and family, also the incoming immigrants help the economy.

It should be much easier to become a citizen in America. The only reason there are so many illegal immigrants is because of the difficulty to apply for citizenship.

Covered by the 14th amendment, It says that anyone born in America (from immigrants) are indeed American citizens.

People wanting to come to this country are usually very grateful and I think letting people in can mostly help the country for the better.

Their parents came to America to give them better opportunities than in the countries they came from. The children and their parents did not ask to be born in a country where their dreams could not be realized, and America was founded on the idea of equality and opportunity.

I think children of illegal immigrants should be granted legal citizenship because they deserve a chance to have the same opportunities as someone that was born in the US.

It does not sound absurd but immigrants should be accepted and given every rights as an American citizen does because they are not safe in their own country but that the right thing to do

Children should definitely be granted legal citizenship if their parents are illegal immigrants because they have absolutely no say in immigrating into the U.S. They are dragged along by the choice of their parents and are forced to live by the decisions of their parents. It is unfair to punish children with no citizenship when it wasn’t by their choice whatsoever.

If a child was born in the U.S., they are automatically a citizen, even if their parents are immigrants.

We value ourselves as a place where everyone comes to find happiness, and yet we want to make it extremly difficult for anyone to do this?

We are all immigrants. Often people coming into the country are victims of United States intervention, or are coming in to flee poverty. Everybody is human and nobody should be banned from coming into America.

Immigrants are just normal humans. they shouldn't be punished unless they have done super bad things.

But it says that anyone that is born in the U.S is automatically a citizen and, the parents over time can earn theirs as well. (going off the laws that’s already in place)

Children of illegal immigrants should become legal citizens because under the constitution it states that if a child is born in the united states it is naturalized and that child becomes a citizen even if his or her mother/father are illegal immigrants.

There is no evidence to suggest immigration is bad for our country and in fact it has only helped us. It does not lower wages, it does not take jobs. from our economy to our culture immigrants have built this country.

Immigrants are simply coming to America to find better jobs for themselves so they can provide more for their families and have a better life style.

Not offering a child of illegal immigrants legal citizenship is holding back benefits that comes with such legal status for a) an action (immigrating illegally into this country) that they had little to no say in is unjust and b) unfair to someone who is genuinely no different from children of U.S. citizens.

i think everyone deserves a chance depending on their background, what if they were a family just trying to get away from abuse, they should be aloud to stay.

They were born here and it says (in some important document from a long time ago) that anybody born on this land is a citizen, so yes they should be citizens.

the more people who come to live in the US the more ideologies and ideas are shared and the further our advancements get made

We’re a nation of immigrants living on lane we stole; historically, we’ve taken everyone who wants to come here. Unless they’re outright criminals who want to kill people we have no reason to say they can’t come here.

The children of those people did nothing wrong and were born on U.S soil. They should not be punished for their parents actions, you cannot punish someone for what they're parents did. They have no control over their parent's choices. They were in the United States so they would be a U.S Citizen.

Well the immigrants just want a better life so I feel if they have no criminal record they should be allowed to stay.

That it is good the immigration path should be made easier but if someone wants to be an American citizen i don’t see they can’t be.

The 14th amendment states that all persons born in the United States are natural born citizens, regardless of their parents’ citizenship statuses. Therefore if a child of an illegal immigrant is born in the US, that child is a natural-born citizen.

Immigrants usually work in manual and/or unskilled labor which are positions with a lot of demand and need. It would boost the economy and increase diversity.

If they are born on United States land, then they are a United States citizen. That's how it was when there were settlers and that's how we all are United States citizens. If we continue to try and divided ourselves, then nothing can get done and everyone would hate one another.

Kids deserve a chance at a better life. That's what coming to America has always been for many immigrants, all they want is an opportunity to grant their family a good life. Why should they be denied this and tell their children they are stuck living where they can't move forward financially? I think it's good to have a dream, so the answer should be "yes" to granting illegal immigrants legal citizenship.

Immigrants are wanting and willing to come here, work themselves to death, and do the work the "real americans" don't want to do. They are willing to pay proper taxes, take care of what is theirs, and be humble and mind their own business and better the americans businesses because the "real americans" won't do it themselves.

Children are innocent and should be granted citizenship and equal freedoms in any land they choose to live.

We need more people to fill in the jobs, to keep company's/ businesses afloat, and keep the economy moving.
