The US and Israel launched a major military campaign against Iran on February 28, 2026, sparking a month-long conflict that has rapidly expanded across the Middle East and beyond.
Despite initial hopes for a swift victory, the war has become a protracted struggle, with Iran employing economic attrition and insurgent tactics to counter superior US-Israeli firepower. The conflict has destabilized global energy markets, driven up prices, and threatened key maritime chokepoints, while also drawing in regional actors like the Yemeni Houthis. Ceasefire talks have stalled, and both sides appear entrenched, with no clear end in sight.
The war is reshaping the global economic and political order, exposing vulnerabilities in US and Israeli strategies and raising fears of a drawn-out 'forever war.'
.Here are the top political news stories for today.
War should not be a first and/or only solution for any conflict. It affects the entire country and the people of the country are typically always involved. Trump is not helping with anything he is doing in office and he is not fit for being a president. The U.S. needs to say out of it or try to resolve it in a more gentle way. The U.S. has came so far when it comes to how many wars they have been in. Creating war is not fair to the people of either side, and theres not any reason for just now starting a war.

THE UNITED STATES NEEDS TO STOP FUNDING THIS "COUNTRY" THAT USES THE EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN AS LEVERAGE TO GET WHAT THEY WANT OUT OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT. THEY DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO USE THE US TAXPAYERS DOLLARS FOR SUCH ATROCITIES. WE FUND ISRAEL SO MUCH, YET CANT EVEN HELP OUR OWN PEOPLE IN OUR OWN COUNTRY.
