I would say that cleaner is fine, but nuclear is necessary at this moment to keep up with the energy demand and we can find ways of sending the waste outside our planet.

Nuclear seems to have a lesser environmental impact than wind and solar and produces steady power. When you look at how much land is needed for wind and solar, and then the batteries needed to store energy nuclear makes more sense. It also should produce abundant energy cheaply.
