Have fun watching your team perform bad in a bad stadium. The city of Chicago will make more money with the new stadium than they will ask through taxes. There will be profit through Final Four games, Concerts, Super Bowls. The suburbs will get their moneys worth.

The taxpayer funds would not be used for for the stadium itself, but it upgrades the surrounding area like roads and sewage. Additonally it could generate long-term tax revenue by allowing the city of Chicago to host mega events like the superbowl.

Thousands of homes and jobs will open up. There will be parks and fountains that will make the surroundings look beautiful. There will be more events and tourists around which will boost the economy and just benefit the city and suburbs overall.

If they're going to use taxpayer funds to help with the new stadium it has to at least be 50/50 in my opinion and it has to be cheaper for Illinois citizens to see games incense Stadium because it was their money that built it.

Yes, but only if taxpayers get a share of ownership or revenue and that the new stadium is built within the Chicago city limits, retaining the team drives essential tourism, tax revenue, and job creation and would boost Chicago's status as a global sports hub.

Not too much, not too little, enough for the stadium, a but for schools and infrastructure, don't go overboard!

 @BCCDWH4Socialist from Illinois  answered…4wks4W

Yes, so long as these public funds should be used to subsidize and reduce the costs of public entertainment

 @BC49XLN from Illinois  answered…1mo1MO

Chicago taxpayers are still paying on Soldier Field's renovations so why should they be expected to pay for a new stadium? Either the franchise pay for half and the State and large corporations pay for the other half or let the taxpayers get to claim those taxes on their tax return.

 @BBWVMMTCommunist from Illinois  answered…1mo1MO

Due to the fact that the Chicago bears has announced that they were moving over to Indiana in which we shouldn't at ALL pay for the stadium, plus I support the GREEN BAY PACKERS

 @BBVY6BLAmerica from Illinois  answered…1mo1MO

To a degree, they can, but not too much, to the point they are doing 25%+ of the budget

 @BBV42S9Democrat from Illinois  answered…1mo1MO

If taxpayers vote to pay for the stadium with knowledge of potential tourism and increased tax revenue, then they can help pay for the stadium.

 @BBTD426 from Illinois  answered…1mo1MO

 @BBSNLWH from Illinois  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, but Illinois should require a percentage of the tourism and tax revenue be paid to fund schools and infrastructure.

 @BBRYRRM from Illinois  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, the government should only pay for public utilities like the roads and highways to the stadium and infrastructure

 @BBRK85RRepublican from Illinois  answered…2mos2MO

No, they shouldn’t assist in the stadium but they should pay for surrounding infrastructure

 @BBPFFW5No Labels from Illinois  answered…2mos2MO

No BUT if people want to they can check a box on like their taxes or something.

 @LundfuProgressive from Iowa  answered…2mos2MO

No, but taxpayers funds should be used for surrounding infrastructure improvements supporting the stadium's development.

 @BBHGX2K from Illinois  answered…2mos2MO

they should use the tax payer money to build more entertainment places overall not only for the bears

 @BCYDDWT from Illinois  answered…12hrs12H
