Rome is preparing to welcome over half a million young people from 146 countries for the weeklong Jubilee of Youth, the central event of the 2025 Catholic Holy Year.
The gathering, taking place from July 28 to August 3, will feature major rallies, spiritual events, and opportunities for young Catholics to connect and celebrate their faith. The event is seen as a chance to foster hope, fraternity, and peace among youth in a world facing conflict and division. Special arrangements, including changes to Holy Door access and guided tours, are being made to accommodate the massive crowds.
The Jubilee is expected to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants and will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.
