The latest Henley Passport Index for 2025 reveals that Singapore retains its position as the world's most powerful passport, granting visa-free access to 193 destinations.
Asian countries, including Japan and South Korea, dominate the top ranks, while European nations also perform strongly. Notably, India has made the largest jump globally, rising eight spots to 77th place, now offering its citizens visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 59 countries. In contrast, the United States and United Kingdom continue their downward trend, slipping to 10th and 6th place respectively, attributed to stricter immigration policies.
The rankings highlight shifting global mobility trends, with Asian and Middle Eastern countries gaining influence.
