"(4) Interesting question there are several. There's the medical definition, the social definition/societies definition, and your personal definition.

Medical someone with XX chromosomes

Social/Societal someone with traits that society typically associated with woman, a combination of physical and personality characteristics

Your definition: What you think a woman is. This can be the same as other people's or different just depends. Take you and me for instance. If I'm not mistaken, your definition of a woman is someone without a Y chromosome (or so Ive gathered), while mine is someone who identifies as a woman."

Defining a woman as "someone who identifies as a woman" is circular reasoning, and you openly just defined it that way. That's like a kid asking you what what the word "excruciating" means, and responding "If something is excruciating, that means that thing is excruciating." Bad example I know, but you get the point.

Fair point I didn't specify what I meant there.

But I will do so now.

Identity is complex and difficult to explain. The best way to explain in this, is how much you align with the social definition of a woman. It also involves feelings.

I hope this helps :)

 @MAGA_Deplorable from Washington  commented…11mos11MO

It didn't. You still didn't define woman. Nothing you said made any sense at all, but from what I can gather, your second attempt to define it is that "a woman is someone who aligns with the social definition of a woman." Which again is circular reasoning. Of course, you obfuscated quite a bit and used enthymemes and implications to attempt to conceal the circular nature of your reasoning, but it's not that hard to see through. I ask again – What is a Woman? Define it.

A woman is someone who identifies as a woman.

Identity is based of of alignment of the social definition of a woman with how you feel

Social definition of a woman is a blend of physical traits (long hair, boobs, how they dress, etc.) and personality traits (more emotional and such)

The identity therefore is is an average of all the traits you have.

To illustrate this I'm going to say 1 is female trait and 0 is male trait. You take all your traits, score them, and average them. If you are close to 1 you identify as female if you are close to 0 its male and around 0.5 is non-binary

This isn't circular reasoning...

A woman is someone who identifies as a woman.

Nice try, but that's circular reasoning.

Social definition of a woman is a blend of physical traits (long hair, boobs, how they dress, etc.) and personality traits (more emotional and such)

Literally every normal person on earth defines a woman as an adult human female. Doesn't matter how they look or what their personality is.

To illustrate this I'm going to say 1 is female trait and 0 is male trait. You take all your traits, score them, and average them. If you are close to 1 you identify as female if you are close to 0 its male and…  Read more

Heres the thing: the line between these traits is draw by society not me. Why is it that long hair is considered to be a feminine trait? IDFK I'm not the one who decided that, society as a whole did. Society is the one defining woman not me. I'm just going with the flow.

Personally the whole divide between gender is stupid. Gender is just society's way of telling us what we can and can't do, what we can and can't feel. Society tells people who are male that if they wear dresses and skirts and make up then they are doing something wrong, while giving people no reason…  Read more

Here's the thing: I asked you "What is a Woman." You keep trying to get out of answering the question, because you know you can't do it, and deep down, whether you realise it or not, you know your ideology is absurd. Stop inserting these red herrings about how people dress and how people act, I just asked you for a simple definition. Let's stay on topic. What is a Woman?

  @Renaldo-MoonGreen  from Pennsylvania  disagreed…11mos11MO

I've answered the question over and over again. Its what society views as one. "Woman" is a term crafted by society to say how females should act and feel and look like. It's a term like man that's meant to exclude transgender and non-binary people. Its a label to make people feel like they are part of a group. To put it bluntly in a way you won't like: Woman is a term used to control females by telling them how to act look and feel. Its whatever society is acceptable for females to do.

That's what it is whether or not you agree with it.

I think I've made it clear what my opinion of the term. Its a stupid label that's slapped on females at birth that's constantly controlling how they act.

You have defined it in the following irrational ways:

(1) A woman is "someone with traits that society typically associated with woman." You failed to define it then

(2) A woman is "What you think a woman is." (Personal definition) You failed to define it then

(3) You have repeatedly said that a "woman is someone who identifies as a woman." You failed to define it then

Never once have you defined the word woman in a non-circular way. Granted, you have attempted to answer the question over and over again, but you couldn't do it. Because it is impossible to define woman as anything other than how it has always been defined without using vicious circular reasoning. Essentially what you're saying is "I'm right because I'm right!"

  @Renaldo-MoonGreen  from Pennsylvania  commented…11mos11MO

I'm ending this conversation. I'm sick of presenting logical lines of reasoning and you calling out false fallacies while committing the fallacy of argument by repetition. Women is a term crafted by society fo control females with no real meaning.

 @MAGA_Deplorable from Washington  commented…11mos11MO

You've lost the argument. You have no argument. I'm glad you realise you're wrong.
