I trust it more than the general public, who seems to not understand how blinkers, speed limits, and basic logic work.

 @9Y9ND9H from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

Not as of right now, the tech simply isn't there. Perhaps in the future, though.

 @9Y9HG8QNo Labels from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

No, you don't know what could happen, there could be a malfunction and chaos could start.

 @9Y7TSTNDemocrat from Indiana  answered…11mos11MO

 @9Y8K2BL from Delaware  answered…11mos11MO

No. I need a real living breathing human in the driver's seat. "Human error" I don't care, what about MACHINE error. Stupid robots and AI.

 @9Y7NT2L  from Texas  answered…11mos11MO

Only with extreme vetting and testing and within areas with AV friendly infrastructure.

 @9Y7FPLN from Illinois  answered…11mos11MO

No, the technology is not there, and any artificial intelligence is at risk of being used against the consumer under capitalism.

 @9Y5KWJZ from California  answered…11mos11MO

No because algorithms aren't perfect and disproportionately fail to detect people of color

 @9Y5B92WDemocrat from California  answered…11mos11MO

 @9Y58R9V from Texas  answered…11mos11MO

No it doesn't feel safe. Just like technology it can mess up or fail and put my family in danger.

 @9Y55J49 from Illinois  answered…11mos11MO

Currently not, as it's current state in the media, it is just a testing ground and I would be cautious and needs more research.

 @Sco12345678Communist  from Illinois  answered…11mos11MO

Maybe in the farther future, not yet as they are not level 5 fully autonomous.

 @9Y26J5D from Massachusetts  answered…11mos11MO

 @9XZZ4DP from California  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, But I would be worried the whole time, or I would feel the need to have a setting where I can drive if I need to.

 @9XY8TXCDemocrat from Ohio  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, I think people are prone to mistakes and that accidents will be reduced when more people are using self driving cars

 @9XWTRB3 from New Jersey  answered…11mos11MO

no. Self driving cars are still actively beta testing, and i think it is unethical to do so on open roads with drivers who have not consented to beta testing new technology.

 @9XWJJTX from Iowa  answered…11mos11MO

It would need a lot of testing, and probably their own travel lane on highways. But yeah, potentially.

 @9XVYQCS from Pennsylvania  answered…11mos11MO

 @9XVXKWM from Michigan  answered…11mos11MO

Absolutely not, vehicles should be driven by a person. People gain experience as they drive and can react to their environment better than an autonomous vehicle.

 @9XVHWGQDemocrat from Nevada  answered…11mos11MO

 @9XTSNJR from New York  answered…11mos11MO

No I wouldn’t, nothing is perfect and machines make mistakes just as much as humans do, there are too many potential things that could happen that a machine wouldn’t be able to comprehend, accidents on the road happen quickly and unexpectedly, I would trust a person to know what to do in that situation more than a robot that could glitch out potentially.

 @9XSWLWH from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

 @9XSKY9F from New Mexico  answered…11mos11MO

No. A self driving car would not be able to do the same level of defensive driving as a human.

 @9XQLTLDWorkers  from Kansas  answered…11mos11MO

 @9XPGHSS  from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

Yes because the good ones are highly tested and always being monitored and updated

 @9XP849N from California  answered…11mos11MO

Depends on who’s behind the development of the car and what the uses would be for.

 @9XNXCZW  from New York  answered…11mos11MO

no, because sometimes errors can occur and I just don't fully trust an AI driving me and my family around low-key

 @9XNNZWN from Ohio  answered…11mos11MO

No, self driving cars are still fallible. Until they demonstrate a 100% success rate, I won't trust them. It's also the most complicated solution to an already solved problem. Rail travel is a much simpler solution.

 @9XNMXKL from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

 @9XNHT5Q from Georgia  answered…11mos11MO

not really, as we can see lots of accident happened due to those vehicles went haywire.

 @9XMRQ38 from New York  answered…11mos11MO

I generally distrust all single-passenger transit forms, as vehicular accidents are still one of the most common forms of death and major injury in places where driving is common. I would by extension, trust an automated driver even less than a human one, as the technology has been demonstrated to be inconsistent, and the burden of blame if something were to go wrong could theoretically be passed around endlessly without resolution to the sufferers.

 @alwabekeSocialist  from Iowa  answered…11mos11MO

Absolutely not. I have heard from people who work on them that they don't trust them, so why would I?

 @9XMKQRX  from California  answered…11mos11MO

 @9XM8J3F from Washington  answered…11mos11MO

Not currently. They are not even remotely up to the standards I would expect of a fully autonomous vehicle.

 @9XM3WWQ from Minnesota  answered…11mos11MO

 @9XM3JSF from Illinois  answered…11mos11MO

 @9XLK2RW from Rhode Island  answered…11mos11MO

 @9XLG92XDemocrat from North Carolina  answered…11mos11MO

I would not trust a self driving car in case of any malfunctions while driving.

 @9XJ8Z7WIndependent from Arizona  answered…11mos11MO

Yes. I ride in them almost daily currently. I've had more concerning experiences with an Uber than a self driving car.

 @9XJ8T37 from Virginia  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, as long as it checks off the guidelines and inspection of a proper examination.

 @9XHWB9BDemocrat from Ohio  answered…11mos11MO

 @9XHVTVK from Wisconsin  answered…11mos11MO

 @9XHDSX8 from Maryland  answered…11mos11MO

No, human perception is pivotal to understanding what is happening in your surroundings on the road

 @9XDPVHB from North Carolina  answered…11mos11MO

No, because they can't account for proper situations that require critical thinking.

 @9XCL3D2 from West Virginia  answered…11mos11MO

Not yet. Self driving cars are safer than they were when first launched but still not fully at the level to be trusted completely

 @9X7MD64 from Arkansas  answered…11mos11MO

I would not trust autonomous vehicles now. Maybe further down the road when that sort of technology has been perfected or at least tested more.

 @9X6TX6SDemocrat from Washington  answered…11mos11MO

No; I believe that a car cannot make a judgement of saving lives the same way that a person might be able to.

 @9X4Z234 from Oklahoma  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, as long as the driver is still conscious and able to take over control.

 @9X4KHQB from Virginia  answered…11mos11MO

 @9X43HV2 from Pennsylvania  answered…11mos11MO

No. AI is not intelligent, they are algorithms generated using information fed to them, judged right or wrong by humans during training

 @9X42XYVWomen’s Equality from Georgia  answered…11mos11MO

Autonomous Vehicles should not be available for the public until they are proven to be as safe or the safer option

 @9X2QMS9 from Texas  answered…11mos11MO

I would, only if the car has been tested properly and there are measures in place to prevent accidents.

 @9X2MXH3 from California  answered…11mos11MO

 @9WZTKNXSocialist from Pennsylvania  answered…11mos11MO

 @9WZNB47 from Louisiana  answered…11mos11MO

I would not because they're some problems with technology and something can always go wrong.

 @9WZHT3N from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

Not currently, but in the future when it is more common and safer then yes.

 @9WZG8WPPeace and Freedom from Texas  answered…11mos11MO

I want my love ones to drive self driving cars eventually when they are safer
