I trust it more than the general public, who seems to not understand how blinkers, speed limits, and basic logic work.
@9YBBSLG11mos11MO
No, especially if its in early development and is not 100% safe
@9Y9ND9H11mos11MO
Not as of right now, the tech simply isn't there. Perhaps in the future, though.
No, you don't know what could happen, there could be a malfunction and chaos could start.
No, computers do not have the ability to truly judge a situation.
@9Y8K2BL11mos11MO
No. I need a real living breathing human in the driver's seat. "Human error" I don't care, what about MACHINE error. Stupid robots and AI.
@9Y7NT2L 11mos11MO
Only with extreme vetting and testing and within areas with AV friendly infrastructure.
@9Y7FPLN11mos11MO
No, the technology is not there, and any artificial intelligence is at risk of being used against the consumer under capitalism.
@9Y5KWJZ11mos11MO
No because algorithms aren't perfect and disproportionately fail to detect people of color
NOPE! AI should not be trusted when it comes to someone's life.
@9Y58R9V11mos11MO
No it doesn't feel safe. Just like technology it can mess up or fail and put my family in danger.
@9Y55J4911mos11MO
Currently not, as it's current state in the media, it is just a testing ground and I would be cautious and needs more research.
@Sco12345678Communist 11mos11MO
Maybe in the farther future, not yet as they are not level 5 fully autonomous.
@9Y36BWW11mos11MO
Yes, as much as I trust them driving. There is always a risk on the road.
@9Y353CL11mos11MO
No, they are currently just not safe enough for me.
@9Y26J5D11mos11MO
I don't really care, I don't think this is super important
@9XZZ4DP11mos11MO
Yes, But I would be worried the whole time, or I would feel the need to have a setting where I can drive if I need to.
Yes, I think people are prone to mistakes and that accidents will be reduced when more people are using self driving cars
@9XWTRB311mos11MO
no. Self driving cars are still actively beta testing, and i think it is unethical to do so on open roads with drivers who have not consented to beta testing new technology.
@9XWJJTX11mos11MO
It would need a lot of testing, and probably their own travel lane on highways. But yeah, potentially.
@9XVYQCS11mos11MO
Yes as long as the technology proves to work well.
@9XVXKWM11mos11MO
Absolutely not, vehicles should be driven by a person. People gain experience as they drive and can react to their environment better than an autonomous vehicle.
I would not because a computer should not be able to drive anywhere
@9XTSNJR11mos11MO
No I wouldn’t, nothing is perfect and machines make mistakes just as much as humans do, there are too many potential things that could happen that a machine wouldn’t be able to comprehend, accidents on the road happen quickly and unexpectedly, I would trust a person to know what to do in that situation more than a robot that could glitch out potentially.
@9XSWLWH11mos11MO
No, especially when the vehicle collecta data for a mega corportation
@9XSKY9F11mos11MO
No. A self driving car would not be able to do the same level of defensive driving as a human.
No car is legally full self driving. Maybe in a few decades.
No. They can’t account for human error and may not correct in time
No. Products have not shown to be reliable or safe.
@9XPGHSS 11mos11MO
Yes because the good ones are highly tested and always being monitored and updated
@9XP849N11mos11MO
Depends on who’s behind the development of the car and what the uses would be for.
@9XNXCZW 11mos11MO
no, because sometimes errors can occur and I just don't fully trust an AI driving me and my family around low-key
@9XNNZWN11mos11MO
No, self driving cars are still fallible. Until they demonstrate a 100% success rate, I won't trust them. It's also the most complicated solution to an already solved problem. Rail travel is a much simpler solution.
@9XNMXKL11mos11MO
No. They still aren't accident proof and makes people lazy.
@9XNHT5Q11mos11MO
not really, as we can see lots of accident happened due to those vehicles went haywire.
@9XMRQ3811mos11MO
I generally distrust all single-passenger transit forms, as vehicular accidents are still one of the most common forms of death and major injury in places where driving is common. I would by extension, trust an automated driver even less than a human one, as the technology has been demonstrated to be inconsistent, and the burden of blame if something were to go wrong could theoretically be passed around endlessly without resolution to the sufferers.
Absolutely not. I have heard from people who work on them that they don't trust them, so why would I?
@9XMKQRX 11mos11MO
Yes, I am more concerned about the discretion of human drivers.
@9XM8J3F11mos11MO
Not currently. They are not even remotely up to the standards I would expect of a fully autonomous vehicle.
@9XM3WWQ11mos11MO
no, because the car cannot choose to make moral decisions
@9XM3JSF11mos11MO
Yes because it prevents accidents from happening more often.
@9XLK2RW11mos11MO
Not right now but later after the software better sure
I would not trust a self driving car in case of any malfunctions while driving.
@9XJ8Z7WIndependent11mos11MO
Yes. I ride in them almost daily currently. I've had more concerning experiences with an Uber than a self driving car.
@9XJ8T3711mos11MO
Yes, as long as it checks off the guidelines and inspection of a proper examination.
No. AI is a grift and inherently flawed technology.
@9XHVTVK11mos11MO
No: the technology is not yet sufficiently sophisticated
@9XHDSX811mos11MO
No, human perception is pivotal to understanding what is happening in your surroundings on the road
@9XDPVHB11mos11MO
No, because they can't account for proper situations that require critical thinking.
@9XCL3D211mos11MO
Not yet. Self driving cars are safer than they were when first launched but still not fully at the level to be trusted completely
@9X7MD6411mos11MO
I would not trust autonomous vehicles now. Maybe further down the road when that sort of technology has been perfected or at least tested more.
No; I believe that a car cannot make a judgement of saving lives the same way that a person might be able to.
@9X4Z23411mos11MO
Yes, as long as the driver is still conscious and able to take over control.
@9X4KHQB11mos11MO
I would not but thats because i only trust myself to
@9X43HV211mos11MO
No. AI is not intelligent, they are algorithms generated using information fed to them, judged right or wrong by humans during training
@9X42XYVWomen’s Equality11mos11MO
Autonomous Vehicles should not be available for the public until they are proven to be as safe or the safer option
@9X2QMS911mos11MO
I would, only if the car has been tested properly and there are measures in place to prevent accidents.
@9X2MXH311mos11MO
No, the most recent self driving cars have been operating off of pure luck
Absolutely not. I am not ready to trust the robots.
@9WZNB4711mos11MO
I would not because they're some problems with technology and something can always go wrong.
@9WZHT3N11mos11MO
Not currently, but in the future when it is more common and safer then yes.
@9WZG8WPPeace and Freedom11mos11MO
I want my love ones to drive self driving cars eventually when they are safer
@9WZ93GW11mos11MO
Not quite yet as they are probably not tested enough.
@9WY8RL811mos11MO
No; machines are not people and are underregulated
