I think that it should be a more lassiez faire approach and that it should be up to us to control the environment however we want. I do not think the government should intervene because it is up to us and the government should not put regulations on how we live our life.

a lassiez faire approach is what created the climate crisis to begin with. If it weren't for government regulations, companies would still be dumping waste in your local waterways. Look at lake Michigan and Erie, the pacific garbage patch and the deforestation of the Amazon as examples. If you have an issue with how the government is regulating the environment, then vote for someone else. The environment is not something that any one person owns or controls. It is up to us to collectively agree on the best way to protect it, and ensure that nobody is sacrificing our planet just to make short-term profits.
