Donald Trump Jr. was asked the conflict during his appearance on the Timcast IRL podcast on YouTube on Friday.
The 46-year-old said: “Cut off the money. It’s the only way you get them [Ukraine] to the table, right?”
The result of the $111 billion in military and economic assistance that Washington has provided to Kiev since February 2022 has been to “kill hundreds of thousands of innocent men, half of whom were probably indifferent to some of the politics cause they were ethnically Russian anyway,” he argued.
“We’re literally creating the oligarch class of billionaires in Ukraine with whatever is being siphoned off... while they send young men to die as cannon fodder on the frontlines because they couldn’t care less,” Trump Jr. said.
Despite all the Western aid, the Ukrainians “were never winning, they were probably never going to win” against Russia, he added.

Trump stole our military secrets and called veterans "losers."
He called Russian forces invading Ukraine a "peace force" and refused to acknowledge bounties to kill US soldiers.
He even called for the extra-judicial murder of US General Mark Milley.
Why would Ukraine Negotiate peace with the billions flowing in. They also have not shown any real ability to win this fight, which begs the question what is our investment in this. I’m not sure Russia is a threat to the U.S if they can’t beat a bordering small nation

More importantly, why isn't Europe footing the bill when it's their neighborhood? Ukraine isn't our ally and they being absorbed just puts them back in early 80's territory. Not our problem.

First off, in the terms of their nuclear disarmament, we swore to provide military aid, but both agreed that no troops should be sent. European countries are footing a lot of the bill, but it’s not as much money overall because they’re not as rich. In reality, their expense rate in Europe is actually higher than ours in some countries. We also gain from this if Ukraine wins, because they want to be in NATO, and as such, will be forced to adhere to anti-corruption standards, meaning that they’ll have a heavy amount owed to us while they fix their issues. They owe us, we get an economic resource, NATO becomes stronger, and russia grows weaker. We all gain, so let’s try and fix their corruption and go full steam ahead in Ukraine aid, just like we promised.
We need to stop funding wars and claiming it's helping to stop them. The Ukraine-Russia relationship has a very complicated history when you consider the 2014 Coup D'etat, Russian language laws, etc. Discussion, conversation, and cooperation are needed to end this war.

Yes, but we quiet literally promised we’d aid them, so let’s do both shall we?

Donald Trump is a highly known businessman who became our 45th president, he has made really good decisions that have helped benefit our economy and lowered prices for many industries. However, he hasn't been true to all the promises he has made due to legal constraints, if Donald Trump were to order ballistic missile attacks against Russia in Ukraine or at Hamas, it shouldn't be seen as dictatorial but as an act of bringing order to Islamic imperialism
@9J44DLD4mos4MO
The Ukraine conflict needs to be resolved soon.
@DemocracyCheeseRepublican4mos4MO
He’s talking as if Trump, himself, didn’t fund and arm Ukrainian Nazis just as Biden is. Trump piggybacked on what Obama started doing in Ukraine, and that includes the biolab program designed to develop biological agents susceptible to kill certain groups of ethnic Russians.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
Is the statement 'they were probably never going to win' a valid reason to reconsider support, or should the underdog be supported regardless of the perceived outcome?
@9CJ6CB64mos4MO
Support the underdog. If they even have a chance at becoming a self-reliant democracy, and they are better than the country invading them, then we should give up.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
Should the potential creation of an oligarch class in a war-torn country deter us from providing financial aid, or is the immediate need to support their defense more important?
@9CJ6CB64mos4MO
We need to keep supporting, but add more strings to that support, or become invasive on purging corruption as their people don’t deserve to suffer for their leaders actions.
