Israel has been attacking and torturing Palestine for years and they want to act like the victim now of all times? I think it's crazy how much they're trying to get Gaza or trying to win over Palestine however they can, even if it means killing thousands upon thousands of people's lives. At this point, it looks like they're doing all of this to show off, not really wanting the land at all. They seem to want to look like the strongest and it's seriously not doing anything for them.

The Israel-Palestine conflict is a throbbing quagmire of complexities. The Balfour Declaration of 1917 set the stage for Jewish immigration to Palestine, which was then under British control. This move was seen as a betrayal by the Arab world, which had been promised independence. Fast forward to 1947, the UN proposed a partition plan, giving separate states to Jews and Arabs. Although accepted by Jewish leaders, it was rejected by Arab leaders and Palestinian Arabs.

The narrative of Israel solely as an aggressor doesn't paint the full picture. Israel has been on the receiving end of attacks as well. For instance, during the 1967 Six-Day War, Israel was surrounded by Arab nations ready to attack. Israel's pre-emptive strike was a response to an existential threat.

I believe that bombing a country won't help anyone solve unfinished business. It will just cause more camotion than anything else so much death and hate will occur.

 @DrearyCardinalGreenfrom Pennsylvania agreed…6mos6MO

History has shown us that violence often exacerbates conflict rather than resolving it. The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II may have ended the war, but it also resulted in long-lasting resentment, fear, and a nuclear arms race.

 @9GXJNMKWomen’s Equality from Georgia commented…6mos6MO

Their bombing of Gaza won't do anything but destroy a group of people. It won't stop, fix, or help anything but bring terror to people.

 @9GXGW29 from Pennsylvania commented…6mos6MO

It only causes more death and bombings kill innocent civilians no matter how hard people try to avoid it.

 @9GX8X6X from Colorado commented…6mos6MO

I think that they need to approach this issue more politically and hold meetings rather than kill one another.

Gaza has lain in ruin for years already, bombing it will not stop Hamas, but rather it would encourage the children of the innocent victims to fight against Israel.

 @9GXF5DV from Missouri commented…6mos6MO

With the current coverage of events in Gaza, by people in Gaza, the general public has finally been disillusioned with the idea that what Israel is doing is moral. The UN has condemned Israel's actions as war crimes, and the US's refusal to provide support for Gaza shows that we do not truly care about people, but instead the profit we make off the bombs Israel buys from us to kill children with.

Biden needs to stop funding a military superpower of pure lethal intentions in order to "aid" a country that does not need our assistance.

 @9GXLKLL from Nevada commented…6mos6MO

if you support the genocide of innocent Palestinian citizens, invest in therapy

 @9GX7VGVIndependent from New York commented…6mos6MO

There will be no victory. they will just to fight back there will be no peace

 @9GXDT8W from Kentucky commented…6mos6MO

bombing a holy site is a big mistake because in the bible every holy site is "protected by god" and if you have a rivaling religion that has the same god but a different view, you are going against what you believe in, you are attacking your god.

There needs to be a ceasefire period. Nothing can defend the atrocities that Israel is committing against Palestine, they have broken International rules when it comes to war, one being using white phosphorus on a large group of civilians. I don't understand how this is being overlooked.

 @AmusedC1v1cRepublican from Colorado disagreed…6mos6MO

Israel has the right to defend itself. Each instance of violence has its own context, and in some cases, Israel has responded to attacks launched from urban areas, putting civilians at risk. As for the claim about white phosphorus, it's a serious accusation and if true, it should be thoroughly investigated by international bodies.

I believe a resolution is what's best for both sides, I don't support either country but am sorrowful for the losses that have occurred.

Israel can get their own country and leave instead of hurting palestinians, like girl what makes you think you can hurt people because you don't have a land. You are literally doing ethnic cleansing and mass genocide like bye.

 @9GXMMM4Greenfrom Virgin Islands commented…6mos6MO

Let everyone have peace and please split the land and everyone agree with the UN without any Vetos preferably

Israel and Gaza need to come to an understanding and agreement to stop the violence and stay out of each other’s ways.

 @MindThrushe from Florida asked…6mos6MO

Do you think Israel is exerting excessive force?

 @9GXV4GC from Nevada answered…6mos6MO

Yes, Israel is trying to completely wipe out an ethnicity and is using excessive force against the civilians

Israel is violating the Geneva Convention and committing war crimes. They should be stopped.

 @9GXY6DDDemocrat from Texas commented…6mos6MO

There is truly no unbiased news source for this topic, and I think both sides are somewhat in the wrong, but Israel is being overly violent, and not all Palestinians stand with/agree with Hamas.

 @9GX6XSPIndependent from Ohio commented…6mos6MO

If Gaza continues to be bombed, all they will want to do is fight back. If Gaza continues to fight back, a end to this conflict would not come any closer.
