I support same-sex marriage, and actually I support a legal union between any two people who believe joining together for the legal and life benefits of being connected to someone will mutually better their lives. Siblings or friends who move in together for mutual aid and support should be given the same legal benefits that marrieds receive, for example. There is plenty of statistical data out there demonstrating that people who live alone are worse off and cost society more money than people who live with someone else. Why do we only incentive with legal benefits one kind of union?
