I agree that both parents should have a say, but shouldn’t the person who actually has to carry the child inside of them and birth it have the *final* say?
Imagine if you had a child who needed a new kidney to survive, and you have a match but the child’s mother does not. You and the mother could discuss the option of you giving up your kidney to save the child’s life. But regardless of whether or not you would do it, who should have the final say in determining whether or not YOUR kidney will be removed from YOUR body and given to the child? Probably you, right?
