No, I do not support the Affordable Care Act, mainly because since it was passed, healthcare is no longer affordable to most people. I had a comprehensive insurance plan that I got for myself prior to this being passed that was less than $200 a month. When I became self employed again, I could only get a plan through the marketplace and they were over $200 a month with the "credit that was given and the coverage was horrible and not nearly as good as what I was able to get on my own. I agree that the healthcare system is super expensive, but I feel like the cost has only increased since the passing of this bill and that the government should have limited involvement in healthcare. I have spoken to people who grew up with nationalized healthcare and they did not like it or support it for the US. I do think there should be some patient protections in place and that pre existing conditions should be covered.
