Democracy
Democracy is a political ideology that is based on the principle of equality and freedom. It is a system of government where the citizens exercise power directly or elect representatives from among themselves to form a governing body, such as a parliament. Democracy is often associated with the rule of law, protection of human rights, and the active participation of the people in the political process.
The term "democracy" comes from the Greek words "demos" (people) and "kratos" (rule), which translates to "rule by the people". The concept of democracy… Read more

What would you do differently if for one day you held a position of significant political power?
@Patriot-#1776Constitution5mos5MO
Abolish the deep state, fire 85 percent of the federal government, abolish the welfare state, withdraw from all foreign wars, end the fed, return to the gold standard, abolish abortion, restore state's rights, and institute congressional term limits.
"Abolish" is strong term. What consequences do you predict from these actions? Do your opinions of what is right for you make it right for everyone?
@Patriot-#1776Constitution3mos3MO
The consequences of my plan include a return to constitutional, minimal government, the abolition of the Welfare-Warfare Empire of Lies, increased individual liberty, peace, prosperity, Christianity, and free markets. Welcome to the America the Founding Fathers envisioned.
If someday I held significant political power, I would make sure that everyone is treated with equality and respect, I would also focus on gun control and women's rights.
@9J3B4WK5mos5MO
Those three issues mentioned in the response are some of the most talked about issues in America. Personally, I feel as though they are the issues in the need of improving on the most.
@9J2Z7GT5mos5MO
Make all colleges the same price and under 10k a year in total cost.
@9J488FWIndependent5mos5MO
I don't know if this would be appropriate for private colleges. But, maybe put a cap on tuition for publicly funded schools and other costs like books and supplies. Higher education costs are in a runaway. Everyone deserves to better themselves.
@9J2Z32N5mos5MO
I would make abortions legal 110% because everyone should have the right to choose what happens to them
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
Why do you think it's important, or not, for individuals to debate and discuss politics openly?
@9KN8DG63mos3MO
It is very important to be open about your opinions because if people are not exposed to the other side they get prideful and begin to think the other side is full of terrible people. Otherwise it would be the first idea presented always.
@9JB4QNB5mos5MO
It's important to not debate because a person's point of view might differ from another person's
@9JB9QWQ5mos5MO
It gives ideas to different people to see different points of view. I don't care much about it but the people that do find it important, which is why I think it is important.
@9JB8R2J5mos5MO
I think its important to disscus politics openly because it gives other people to express there opions and maybe we can learn fomr other people.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
What's the most important quality you look for in a candidate when voting, and how does that reflect your values?
Competency and ensuring freedom and basic american ideals. I want a candidate that, especially in these times, will be willing to protect liberty for not just Americans but our allies and partners.
@9HZ2KW45mos5MO
Intelligence and those who share a majority of my views. This is pretty important considering it is an important quality.
@9HTRXDR5mos5MO
I look for honesty, morality, and intelligence in a candidate since it lets us know they're aware of what they're job is and how to protect our country.
@9HZJM7B 5mos5MO
If they have climate change in view and not planning on destroying the world
@ISIDEWITH7mos7MO
If freedom of speech is crucial in a democracy, where should we draw the line when it comes to hate speech and misinformation?
@9HCRHLB7mos7MO
If the speech is directly threatening someone or something, I think it can be considered hate speech. Misinformation can be drawn when it is directly opposite of what the government is stating.
@9KN8DG63mos3MO
“Misinformation can be drawn when it is directly opposite of what the government is stating”
So if it goes against government its wrong. For some reason that doesn't sound right
@9HCS26S7mos7MO
Speech is fine until it activately calls for physical harm
@9HCRLZ57mos7MO
When people are lying about threats others have done or things that may harm people. When you feel unsafe around them.
many do not like the truth freedom of speech should still be allowed and when it comes to hate speech they should be stopped but you need to hear the people out and if they have a good reason something should be changed but if there isn't that will continue to happen but don't use force

Liberalism
Liberalism is a political ideology that emphasizes individual rights, equality, and the protection of civil liberties. It is rooted in the principles of democracy, free market economics, and the rule of law. The term "liberalism" comes from the Latin word "liber," meaning "free," and it is fundamentally concerned with the concept of freedom and the rights of the individual.
The origins of liberalism can be traced back to the Age of Enlightenment in the 17th and 18th centuries, a period of intellectual and philosophical development that emphasized reason, analysis,… Read more

How would you handle a situation where your friend’s freedom of choice clashed with your own beliefs?
@9L6367K3mos3MO
Have a discussion and try to understand why they feel the way they do
@9L8JLHBRepublican3mos3MO
because every person is different, i wouldnt shame someone or talk down on them with however they feel.
@9L62RW93mos3MO
They can believe whatever they want to believe its not my problem.
@9L62S5T3mos3MO
just let it be because there is so many other people with their own opinions
@ISIDEWITH7mos7MO
Can a society truly uphold equal rights for all its members without some form of government intervention, and why do you think so?
@9H4JHTW7mos7MO
I believe that liberalism has come a little too far especially in present days. Yes equality should be top tier but some ideology that has come up in present days and are praised by some people in schools. These new events that are being exposed to our children are opposites of the norm and we are accepting things that children shouldn't be introduced until they are mature.
@9H4JFJ87mos7MO
I believe that government intervention is necessary even if not ideal. There is not an ideal we can reach since humanity suffers with a lack of integrity. We are divided spiritually and ethically. The government in a democratic system was meant to represent the majority with the idea that the most people possible will benefit. Therefore, I would hope there would be intervention if necessary since they have structure and consistent rules. Without government intervention, we are at the whim of the changing passions and spiritual explorations of various groups.
@9KHVTGM3mos3MO
No
If there is no government, then people will be hurting others and denying them their civil rights
@9H4JD9K7mos7MO
No, in our current society, the government is necessary in upholding and maintaining human rights.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
How has travel or exposure to other cultures affected your view on liberalism and individual rights?
@9HHKFR26mos6MO
I support liberalism, consent of the governed, and individual rights. Exposure to other cultures through History classes has taught me the importance of it.
@9HHK59H6mos6MO
I agree with some aspects of liberalism such as equality before the law and liberty, but I prefer socialism and communism.
@9KS9XQ33mos3MO
I have a better understanding of different cultures and their practices and I seem to be more open-mined than those who don't expose themselves to other cultures so I ended up having a more liberal mindset
@9HHK3NS6mos6MO
I feel as if there are very few people in the world that wouldn't accept a bribery if the price is right, therefore I do not agree with Liberalism and the feeling of a group of people is what is controlling our society
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
In what way has a law or policy directly impacted your sense of freedom, for better or worse?
@9HHMQC76mos6MO
Law or policy regarding Roe V Wade has made me feel less of a person. I feel like my own rights are being taken away and it is not up for discussion after decision has already been made.
@Patriot-#1776Constitution3mos3MO
I feel triumphant that Roe V. Wade was repealed – thousands of lives have been saved.
@9HHMQ2P6mos6MO
the more gun laws that are put in place the more the 2nd amendment is hurt.
@9HJHF46Republican6mos6MO
The abortion laws in North Dakota before Roe vs. Wade affected me.
