Subsidies will force people into the same area for their whole life. Instead, focus should be put on reducing the overall cost of houses through decreasing inflation.

Depends on income and the type of house being developed. If it is for purely ownership of the house to be used by the owner and used as the primary residence by the family then yes it should be subsidized.

I would prefer public housing options and housing subsidies for low income renters rather than homebuyers bc they are already in a much better financially stable situation and we should help those at the bottom who really need help getting on their feet or making ends meet rather than those in the middle or top of our socioeconomic strata
