Yes, as long as a disclosure is prominently displayed on packaging and restaurant menus

 @B3B2H28 from Alabama  agreed…2mos2MO

as long as the food is safe for consumption, it is okay to be on shelves, and any and everything out of the usual should be disclosed

 @9MRFP83 from Utah  answered…12mos12MO

Yes, but when the meat is sold it should be required to disclose that it is lab grown as well as undergo several chemical tests.

 @9PTWSB4Democrat from Missouri  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, but with the same FDA regulations all other meat or meat substitute products have. As long as it is safe, it is a good solution to certain environmental issues.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…8mos8MO

How would you feel about replacing traditional meat with lab-grown versions in your daily meals?

 @9TSG5T8 from Virginia  answered…8mos8MO

Personally, I prefer traditional meat. But, I would support lab grown meet in grocery stores for those who'd want it.

 @9YFG8M9answered…6mos6MO

I am vegetarian. I see nothing wrong with Lab-Grown Meat, I see it as meat, and won't eat.

 @9TSDWFN from Massachusetts  answered…8mos8MO

 @62WJDGP from Michigan  answered…6mos6MO

I’m not against it. As long there have been long enough studies to show it doesn’t cause health problems or cancer.

 @9PZ9FLSfrom Vermont  answered…10mos10MO

Yes, as long as it is specified by the manufacturer on the package at the store that the meat is lab-grown

 @9TB3J59 from Indiana  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, as long as disclosure is prominently displayed on packaging and restaurant menus, and further research is done about long-term health effects, and also when the long-term health effects are understood and "discovered", they need to be displayed to the public and not hidden.

 @9Q5CYST from Arkansas  answered…10mos10MO

If you want to buy it at a supermarket knowing it is lab grown that is fine, but putting it into restaurants will people not knowing is not ok.

 @9PBPTYK from Pennsylvania  answered…11mos11MO

I hate the idea of actually keeping animals locked in a lab solely for meat, but if it's just bioengineering in a lab I could see this as a good alternative to keeping animals locked up or butchered.

 @9Q6CX4D from Michigan  commented…10mos10MO

animals belong on a farm; regenerative agriculture is the correct way. Not industrial farming.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…8mos8MO

What concerns might you have about the long-term impact of consuming lab-grown meat compared to traditional meat?

 @9TP9KF4 from Texas  answered…8mos8MO

We'll never really know what's in the lab grown meat or everything they do to it, and how these could impact long-term health

 @9TP868H from Nevada  answered…8mos8MO

I believe in the science and think that it should be just fine. Provided tests are accurate and correct, and there are no harmful side effects, I am all for it.

 @9TPB93G from Ohio  answered…8mos8MO

The health risks could possibly be worrisome for humans if there were some negative findings with lab grown meat.

 @B55K6C2 from Kansas  answered…1wk1W

No

I think that's the point of doing the study. We really don't know what concerns to have. Should allow it because of free market, but we should also be studying it to see what the long-term impact it could potentially have on people.

 @9VK7TYN from Georgia  answered…7mos7MO

The government should allow the commercialization of lab-grown meat as long as a disclosure is prominently displayed on packaging and restaurant menus, but we need more long-term studies to ensure safety.

 @9Q5DVF9 from New York  answered…10mos10MO

Yes, but its status as lab-grown must be stated in large and clear print on its packaging. More, unbiased research must also continue to be done into its health effects,

 @9QSCDPJ from Washington  answered…10mos10MO

It doesn't explain how it cultivates or what animal the lab grown meat comes from or if it will even look like an animal before enough meat is able to be taken fat full capacity from a cell. Not enough info

 @9MQ8Z96 from Oklahoma  answered…12mos12MO

Yes, but only after extensive testing has been performed and verified in a triple blind study performed by an independent org that is verifiably not bought out by a party of interest.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…8mos8MO

Considering potential health implications, would you prefer lab-grown meat over traditional if it was proven to be healthier? Why?

 @9TSH4RJ from Washington  answered…8mos8MO

No, because of the taste and the vast nutrient density of the meat currently on the market.

 @9TSHTQ7 from Illinois  answered…8mos8MO

No, we should not use lab grown meat because they could have products that wouldn't be healthy for anyone

  @@1876-Elbert from Colorado  answered…7mos7MO

No

No

I'm a rancher. We need money, otherwise we'll struggle even more that we already are.

 @B4W3XX3 from California  answered…2wks2W

The question of whether governments should allow the commercialization of lab-grown meat is a complex one with arguments on both sides. Proponents highlight the potential environmental and ethical benefits, while opponents raise concerns about safety, energy consumption, and consumer acceptance.

 @9V3CMKP from Michigan  answered…8mos8MO

should not. No one really knows the risk of what you could be eating if its taken from a lab and is lab grown

 @9WJLXF9 from Texas  answered…7mos7MO

No, the focus should be on improving the animal's well-being and impact rather than coming out with lab-grown anything

 @9W8C344 from New York  answered…7mos7MO

yes bc let me that you is bc in the real world animal dose grown that fast thway human eat everyday ,minute,seconds, hours. and if u have a growing lab meat will be grown faster and thats they we have GMO food bc that dosent matter bc of what the government tell you is the people that dose missing is actually turns in food we eat and yes is hard to believe but its TRUE.

  @@1876-Elbert from Colorado  commented…7mos7MO

 @9VXYPGG from Idaho  answered…7mos7MO

I think scientists should get to make lab-grown meat but no one should be allowed to eat it. Instead of circumventing the meat industry people should focus on making it more ethical. Lab-grown meat is unnecessary for the general public.

 @9SWN4FG from Kansas  answered…8mos8MO

I think we need more discussion on this topic. We need to stop the industrial agronomy and move to small, local farming of a regenerative nature. Break up the big, corporate farms.

 @9RMPJDNSocialist from New York  answered…10mos10MO

its a weird question because meat free alternatives that are vegan or vegetarian are nice even if im not one i think its important to provide for those who do prefer to not eat meat to have the option

 @B2TLRHT from Ohio  answered…3mos3MO

Yes, as long as it is a second option that doesn't entirely replace eating non lab-produced meat and it is confirmed to be safe.

 @B597M95 from Texas  answered…4 days4D

If the "Lab-grown meat" is qualified as safe, and the government themselves approve of it, then Yes, but if not then No

 @B57LNX9 from Texas  answered…6 days6D

We need long-term and reliable, and repeatable studies on the impact with labelling that discerns the meat as such.

 @B578NP6 from Texas  answered…7 days7D

Yes, but we need more long-term studies, and it should be openly displayed to consumers, disclosing the fact.

 @B578GZH from Texas  answered…7 days7D

Yes, nationalize the industry and promote as a means to address food inequality and reduce the slaughter of animals

 @B562QYM from Indiana  answered…1wk1W

As long as there is ample evidence that it is safe and all ingredients are printed on the packaging.

 @B54Q5TW from Vermont  answered…1wk1W

Invest in zero emission farming before creating nigh unsustainable lab farming that couldn't possibly be marketable due to high demand for meat.

 @B4Z9KYL from Alabama  answered…2wks2W

No, it takes away valuable jobs away from meat farmers, which in turn takes away valuable jobs from wheat, soy, and corn farmers. Farmers are already being hurt and the commercialization of lab grown meat would destroy the industry.

 @B4Z46K2 from Georgia  answered…2wks2W

As long as it is disclosed and assuredly safe for consumption with no long term effects. We have too many harmful foods on the market already.

 @B4WTGTBNo Labels from Georgia  answered…2wks2W

I do not care on this topic, but they should ensure that the lab grown meat is safe for consumption.

 @B4V7TMZ from Texas  answered…3wks3W

Maybe eventually when we have more studies on the long-term effects of it, but, products should have a prominently displayed disclosure on packaging and menus to ensure transparency

 @B4TZ8NZ from North Carolina  answered…3wks3W

Again this is more personal it you think it doesn't affect you then eat it but if you don't want lab grown meat you should have that choice and be know on what is what

 @B4RM5GV from Arizona  answered…3wks3W

Yes, as long as the government can ensure to the public based on solid research that the lab grown meat is safe to consume, and that it is disclosed that it is lab grown meat.

 @B4R3GW8 from Ohio  answered…3wks3W

Yes, with strict regulations to ensure they mimic that of authentic meat and provide adequate nutrients to consumers.

 @B4QPT45 from Pennsylvania  answered…3wks3W

I think that lab grown meat is horrid but I think that the government doesn't have the right to limit that.

 @B4Q7ZDT from California  answered…3wks3W

I want to say both Yes as long as disclosure is prominent but also we need more long term studies dedicated to the actual product.

 @B4Q72MM from Maryland  answered…3wks3W

Yes but only if its publicly owned, democratically controlled, ethically produced, and not driven by corporate profit. Lab-grown meat should be developed as a public good, with full transparency, environmental sustainability, and labor protections. commercialization must serve people and the planet, not private interests.

 @B4PH38S from Texas  answered…3wks3W

No not at all. Scientists want to be God so bad when He is the source and made everything. JUST LIVE LITERALLY

 @B4P5FGW from California  answered…4wks4W

Pepole should have the freedom to eat what they want. Allowing the government to commercialize lab-grown meat will benefit will appeal to a large audience but it shouldn't be mandated for everyone to eat.

 @B4P4HNC from Pennsylvania  answered…4wks4W

I think it is a good idea but there should be more testing to see if it is safe and only if it is a reliable and renewable source of food + they should put a label on the front saying if it is lab-grown or not

 @B4NSSG5 from Pennsylvania  answered…4wks4W

No, as a whole we need to re-frame our society to still eat meat, but also place a president on more environmentally friendly options.

 @B4MM872Socialist from Alabama  answered…4wks4W

Studies should be publicized to show the public whether or not lab-grown meat has any effect on the human body, and it should be labelled in grocery stores so people know what they're buying.

 @B4MCD4N from Texas  answered…4wks4W

Yes, but until there is more long-term studies to ensure safety and label it on packaging and restaurant menus

 @B4LXB3L from Texas  answered…4wks4W

yes as long as the disclosure is displayed on packaging and restaurant menus and the studies were proved to ensure safety.

 @B4LT9GV from Illinois  answered…4wks4W

Yes, as long as studies show that the lab grown meat has no negative health effects and its clearly labeled.

 @B4L2ZJP from South Carolina  answered…4wks4W

No, we need more long-term studies to ensure safety. But when it is done,as long as a disclosure is prominently displayed on packaging and restaurant menus

 @B4KTTZ8 from Alabama  answered…4wks4W

The government should not be getting involved in market practices unless it is going to hurt consumers.

 @B4KS6TJ from Illinois  answered…4wks4W

No, we need more time for research on safety, but once they have proved the safety, put the labels plainly and large on the front of the package, saying that it is lab-grown, so that people who don't want it know what it is.

 @B4KRKKT from California  answered…4wks4W

As long as the product provides its beneficial claims, efficiency, and is approved for consumption by the FDA.

 @B4KQZBY from Indiana  answered…4wks4W

It doesnt really matter for the government to regulate it, people should be able to make their own decisions

 @B4KJP2V from California  answered…4wks4W

I believe we need more long-term studies to ensure safety, but also that we can have it as long as it's displayed on packaging

 @B4K9DMNLibertarian from Pennsylvania  answered…1mo1MO

the government should have as little involvement in the economy as possible, allowing for a unrestricted free market economy

 @B4JZ6KY from Texas  answered…1mo1MO

As long as a disclosure is prominently displayed on packaging and restaurant menus and we need more long-term studies to ensure safety

 @B4JJBSGDemocrat from Texas  answered…1mo1MO

I think it's ok for it to be an option to people. I don't feel like it should replace all food sources but leaving it up for people to try and experiment with is fine.

 @B4J9NYZ from Michigan  answered…1mo1MO

I personally would not eat lab grown meat, but that doesn't make money so I cant stop people from commercializing it.

 @B4HVLLRNo Labels from Arizona  answered…1mo1MO

Yes, but the FDA and other 3rd party groups should be validating the health of these products. These products should also be displayed prominently on packaging.

 @B4HPH7R  from Arizona  answered…1mo1MO

The fact that this is a question is sad when you think of America the first thing that comes to mind is a good old hardy burger with a side of steak fires. Thier should be no sich thing as lab gown anyhitng little alone meat like what have we come to this is for real sickining.

 @B4G45GD from Indiana  answered…1mo1MO

I think that it could be alright, as long as no animals are used to grow the meat and rather it is closer to a vegetarian substitute.

 @B4FKSSF from Illinois  answered…1mo1MO

Lab-grown meat should've never been an option. Instead, the government NEEDS to enforce laws that ensures cattle are taken care of correctly.

 @B4FCJW4Republican from Georgia  answered…1mo1MO

No, ban lab-grown meat for the sake of health, the farming industry, agriculture, and a low unemployment rate.

 @B4F9TXH from Pennsylvania  answered…1mo1MO

More long-term health studies but, still allow lab grown meat and display disclosure on packaging and menus.

 @B4F68RH from Pennsylvania  answered…1mo1MO

Yes, if disclosure is displayed well . But we also need to have more long term study. It should be available to those who want it, but it needs to be tested as well.

 @B4DSQRLNo Labels from Texas  answered…1mo1MO

Yes, if it is safe and has minimal side effects and prominent revelation of its nature on its container or menus using the substance.

 @B4DFMJXGreen from Tennessee  answered…1mo1MO

hell no, if over consumption of meat is such a huge deal they are creating fake meat that will never provide a sustaining amount of nutrients as natural meat does then limit the amount of meat people can consume, bring back "no meat Mondays" from the world wars.

 @B4CYTG2 from Ohio  answered…1mo1MO

If the lab grown meat is proven to be healthy and successful economically than yes it can be a thing to bring to public attention through commercials.

 @B4CTNJ4 from Wisconsin  answered…1mo1MO

I am saying No, Even if it is seen as "healthy" there are possibilities the lab grown meat might lack the proteins inside of real meat and it could possibly alter the taste of such "meat".

 @B4CRC7B from Texas  answered…1mo1MO

Yes, as long as there is a disclaimer on the packaging and restaurant menus, and have already been deemed safe for consumption on multiple tests

 @B4CQTYD from Illinois  answered…1mo1MO

Yes, as long as we can prove health safety and hold companies accountable for health issues linked to consumption of the lab grown meat.

 @B4C6T5PDemocrat from Maryland  answered…1mo1MO

Long term studies are necessary, but if they are found to be safe, then yes, as long as it is disclosed

 @B4B5FVS from Utah  answered…1mo1MO

Sort of. We need more long term studies to ensure safety. What we should do is that we should make a tax for the commercialization of lab-grown meat. A disclosure should also be prominently displayed on packaging.

 @B49SM46 from Utah  answered…1mo1MO

Yes, the government has no right to decide what stores sell unless it is an illegal drug or something but a description of the product should be placed on the package and menu so people will know what they are eating

 @B49F6QRNo Labels from Maryland  answered…1mo1MO

We need more long term studies, but once it's done it should be very clearly displayed that it is lab-grown.

 @B49CK9H from Florida  answered…1mo1MO

Yes, it should be regulated just as any other meat, but it is highly unlikely because of the expensive nature of lab grown meat and its moral origins.

 @B48ZGNN from Maryland  answered…1mo1MO

There must be prominent labeling, and the USDA should heavily regulate facilities that produce these products.

 @B48W8Y6 from Arizona  answered…1mo1MO

lab grown meat should be illegal its not natural for our bodies to consume such things this is one reason as to why alot of people have bodily issues because of unnatural chemicals in our foods

 @B48TL3N from Pennsylvania  answered…1mo1MO

I believe that we need to make sure the food that is being made is safe and beneficial for the people all around the world instead of giving people fake food and making our countries lazy and obese

 @B48RGWPPeace and Freedom from Minnesota  answered…1mo1MO

I think that animal abuse should stop regardless, especially animal testing, but overall I think since they get killed in testing they should be served as food anyways.

 @B47X69Jfrom Maine  answered…1mo1MO

Yes, if determined safe and as long as a disclosure is prominently displayed on packaging and restaurant menus

 @B46P53KCommunist  from Illinois  answered…2mos2MO

No, but because commercialization of food in general instead of guaranteeing it as a basic right to everyone is unethical

 @B46HRJ3Women’s Equality from North Carolina  answered…2mos2MO

Currently, there should be more studies to ensure safety, however in the future once considered safe it should be disclosed completely.

 @B45WYSZ from Florida  answered…2mos2MO

No, it is ethically questionable and safety is a concern. We have no idea what long-term effects could be

 @B45CLGYSocialist from Oregon  answered…2mos2MO

The government should conduct further studies to ensure safety, and once found to be safe to consume it should be provided as welfare for low-income individuals.
