A minority student, black or latino, can be accepted to a school they are not able to keep up with and this will hurt their experiances and set them up for less success later in life. It is better to have a 4.0 in a 4 year university where the learning curve is suited for you then a 2.0 in an Ivy league university where you struggled to keep up with the curriculum. Now as far as hiring processes I think name/race should be removed from the process altogether. Employers don't need to know your race before starting the hiring process.
