In September 2020 the Trump administration issued an executive order which prohibited federal agencies, companies with federal contracts and recipients of federal grants from participating in training that “promotes race or sex-stereotyping or scapegoating.” Prohhibted topics include “divisive concepts” in which one race or sex is inherently superior to another; the U.S. is fundamentally racist or sexist and a person should feel some form of psychological distress on account of their race or sex. In January 2021 President Biden revoked the executive order and issued a new order which affirmed that “equal opportunity is the bedrock of American democracy, and our diversity in one of our country’s greatest strengths.”

We need to learn how to respect others, just because of the color of our skin people can be so cruel, but we all bleed to same color and we all die in the end so be fair to everyone while we are still here.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican5mos5MO
We need to teach people not to be so sensitive to words.
People need to understand how the other race thinks and acts and how to appropriately react to different cultures that come with different races.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4mos4MO
That is one of the biggest load of bs I ever heard. What do you mean "how the other race thinks", like different races have different instincts and wants? All races think the same, there is no need to understand "how the other race thinks", and if they are offended by your "inappropriate" reaction, that is their problem.
@9FBCCK72yrs2Y
Freedom of speech and expression is critical to human life and ultimately racial sensitivity training attempts to enforce an ideology that only further divides society instead of working to foster a more connected and productivity civilisation for the good of us all.
its just not needed, the more people say black lives matter and such, the more of a problem it becomes, while yes it is needed to have the world know that there are problems in this world, there are much better ways to partake in voicing you opinion
@ISIDEWITH5yrs5Y
Yes
@9F7ZRRV 2yrs2Y
Many racial jokes are made in the workplace and many don't understand that the workplace isn't a place for these jokes and should be taught not to say such things.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican5mos5MO
The people who are overly sensitive to these jokes should be taught not to be so sensitive. It's just words, words can't hurt anyone, unless if it threatens violence, so discriminatory jokes should be 100% ok, it is protected by the first amendment and how is a country free if you can't say certain stuff?
@9FBCCK72yrs2Y
No person should have to be trained to think or have opinions about a specific subject. If you are unable to convince someone of an idea then you cannot then require them to be trained to overcome their own opinions.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4 days4D
Stupid leftists believe they should have a right to force their opinions and beliefs on everyone else
I live in an ALF as the only gay person in here and the men in here including the owner of the home are rude towards me, make fun of the sound of my gay effeminate accent and call me ma am when I am a sir telling people I am a lady and I am a **** cisgender man and these men make me angry when they openly discuss women in my bedroom drinking alcohol me having to keep to myself that I am attracted to cis muslim or Hispanic gay man or they'll call me homophobic slurs and rip my clothes and the owner of the home blames me for my behavior not theirs and threatens to kick me out.
@9FG7LB42yrs2Y
Those who are properly trained under Racial Sensitivity are usually more respectful to those who do not look the same as them. These people are also able to serve more people without issue because they are knowledgeable about people from different cultural/ethnic backgrounds.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4mos4MO
Y'know, people these days are too sensitive to discriminatory or offensive speech. It's just some goddamn words people, stop being such a crybaby and toughen up! Learn to not be so offended by hurtful speech, especially if they're just joking and don't actually think that.
@ISIDEWITH5yrs5Y
No, just ensure there are clear guidelines, action, and accountability for acts of discrimination
@9FSBSGWConstitution2yrs2Y
When speaking to employees that have had to attend government approved Racial Sensitivity trainings in all sectors, I have found that many employees have noticed a discriminatory stance against certain groups, are not given the opportunity to counter, and have observed that there is no evidence given or no regard for historical context.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4mos4MO
Just don't give a damn about discrimination, whatever happened to freedom of speech and expression?! Ignore it and move on.
@9HWTVRV1yr1Y
Who is enforcing the accountability? Who is ensuring the comprehension and clarity of the guidelines?
There is too much dismissiveness today. I don't believe most individuals/Institutions realize how much of our current lives (as well as "the good ole days" ) are colored by racist views. In order to have a truly diverse and fair system we have to provide training to change the current mindsets, otherwise those "guidelines" will be dismissed and rebuked which will only make things worse.
@ISIDEWITH5yrs5Y
Yes, and also include LGBTQ+ topics
@9FSBSGWConstitution2yrs2Y
LGBTQ+ topics are discriminatory towards many religious and political groups, and when speaking to employees who have been forced to attend trainings on them, I have again discovered that there was no concrete scientific data shown.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4mos4MO
Why would I want to learn about some mentally ill people and how to respect them for their sickness in the head?
@ISIDEWITH5yrs5Y
Yes, as long as it covers all protected groups (age, sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion) and is not based on critical race theory
@9FSBSGWConstitution2yrs2Y
On the flip side, Racial Sensitivity Training discriminates against groups that do not believe in topics that are covered in the trainings. In fact, it tends to villainize anyone that does not agree with the political ideology that is pushed in Racial Sensitivity Training. It also divides us by making us more aware of our differences instead of uniting as Americans.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4mos4MO
Teaching critical race theory and racial sensitivity is asking for racism
@ISIDEWITH5yrs5Y
Yes, and extend the requirement to private companies as well
@8HCZLY5Republican5yrs5Y
No, it should not be required. It should be an option and the choice of the business.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4mos4MO
No business should be able to require their employees to go through a training that has nothing to do with the work
@8HVYKB25yrs5Y
should offer it as an option
@8HZBKRB5yrs5Y
Yes, and also include LGBTQ+ topics and extend the requirement to private companies as well
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4 days4D
Yes, teach them that LGBTQ+ is a mental illness and people who are LGBT are in the wrong and need to learn how to correct their ways
@8NR3ZY35yrs5Y
No, and there is no proof that racial sensitivity training actually has a positive effect on racial sensitivity.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4mos4MO
I agree with you, but I don't think we should even care about racial sensitivity.
@PresspacenutDemocrat5yrs5Y
Yes, and include LGBTQ+ topics and extend this requirement to private companies as well.
@8TGMPJRProgressive4yrs4Y
Yes, as long as it covers all protected groups
@8HZ5PCR5yrs5Y
No, and get rid of all this forced diversity bs.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican5mos5MO
You are absolutely correct. Forcing people to learn about diversity is violating their rights, how is a country free if its people are forced to learn about stupid topics? Diversity is not something to celebrate or be proud of. We should just accept that people are different and move on, we don't need to force everyone to learn about these differences.
@8KBQ6ZY5yrs5Y
Yes, and they should include LGBTQ+ topics, cover all protected groups, and extend the requirement to private companies as well.
@9L9XD9J1yr1Y
No, I don't like Jews, or colored folks. I can't stand feminists, Socialists, Communists, Marxists, Asians and Anti-Fascists. I also hate illegal immigrants
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican5mos5MO
Discriminating based on race or ethnicity is bad, because people cannot change their race, so no matter what they do, they will still be discriminated. We shouldn't judge people based on traits that can't be changed no matter what they do. And besides, how does how they look or what they believe in affect their personality? I agree that the feminists, communists, marxists, and illegal immigrants are bad though. I also want to add another group of people to your list, LGBTQ+.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4mos4MO
And besides, how does how they look or what they believe in affect their personality? Unless if their beliefs involve supporting violence or terrorism, especially to other religions, like a certain **ahem** religion.
@9CJ6CB61yr1Y
Just… why?
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican5mos5MO
Why do I hate feminists? In society, men have always had more power and opportunities than women, because a women's job is to maintain the household and raise the children, so they don't need as many opportunities as men do, while men go out and do the work. Feminists are threatening to break this moral principle and societal structure that has succeeded for so many centuries.
Why do I hate socialists and communists? All nations that were socialist or communist have fallen, because these economies just don't work, the people don't have the motivation to put in all their eff… Read more
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4mos4MO
I am surprised you don't like jews, but don't have a problem with muslims. Ever since the holocaust, America has been an ally of jewish, we are currently supporting israel, a jewish country. But America has always disliked muslims, because they have been known to commit terrorism, such as the 9/11 attacks, for absurd reasons like to "unite muslims".
@Patriot-#1776Constitution11mos11MO
Feminists, socialists, communists, and Marxists are all bad, I agree. But Jews and colored people are our equals. To dislike them as a whole is just as bad as to dislike white people, which is one of the huge problems with the Left — anti-white racism. Don’t give everyone else in the right a bad name with comments like this, if you actually care about saving America.
@8TFGXKGRepublican4yrs4Y
No but if you know an employee is without a doubt and have proof he/she is racist to any one regardless of color they should be fired
@JonBSimConstitution3yrs3Y
If the best plumber in the world is racist, you shouldn't fire him because it has nothing to do with his profession.
@9KVVS2F1yr1Y
he may be good at his career, but the biaism he has would subconsciously effect the work efficiency, and causing discrimination witch affects peoples light negativity. it is a negative representation of a buisness and allowing it as a buisness is a whole seperate set of yuckyness.
@4V4VGHMConstitution5yrs5Y
No, and it shouldn't exist. These programs tend to be very one sided and hypocritical.
Deleted2yrs2Y
Yes, and also include LGBTQIA+ Topics & extend the requirement to all businesses, regardless of ownership
@TruthHurts1012yrs2Y
No, abolish all diversity, affirmative action, and racial sensitivity programs and do not give minorities any favorable treatment in the business world that white people don't get.
@MorbidCabinetRepublican2yrs2Y
I see where you're coming from! Just like in a game of Monopoly, everyone should start with the same amount of cash, right? No 'Get Out of Jail Free' cards for anybody. After all, the idea of the American Dream is built on the principle of equal opportunity, where success is determined by an individual's hard work and talent, not their background.
Now, picture this: You're at a 100-meter race. Everyone's lined up at the same starting point. But what if some runners had to wear heavy boots? Would it still be a fair race? Isn't it the same with life, where some people, due to societal prejudices, are burdened with 'heavy boots'?
@8NG6VHB5yrs5Y
I Don't understand what this means
@8XDXJV53yrs3Y
Yes, and extend the requirement to private companies as well and also include LGBTQ+ topics
@8JQDZWM5yrs5Y
No, and it should be removed.
@8KLCJB75yrs5Y
Neutral, training will help but in the end if a person discriminates it is due to their own beliefs and no amount of training could change that.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican5mos5MO
And it is their right to do so
@8TZNWML4yrs4Y
No, it wastes time for employees who aren't discriminatory, just ensure discrimination won't be accepted
Deleted2yrs2Y
Yes, and also include LGBTQIA+ Topics & extend the requirement to all companies, regardless if it's socially owned or privately owned
@8M7BF4Z5yrs5Y
No, but have strict guidelines and accountability concerning discrimination on any basis not relevant to the codified procedure - even those not pertaining to faith, race, sex, disability, or sexual orientation. Agency policy can mandate asking a few hypothetical questions to determine likelihood of guideline compliance.
@8M2BGYV5yrs5Y
Yes, and it should cover all protected groups.
@8SFCRT34yrs4Y
No, and ban racial sensitivity training.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4 days4D
It is a threat to traditionalism and assimilation and should be banned
@8WW6WS34yrs4Y
I do, but I also think that companies should do extensive background checks to ensure that racial sensitivity training shouldn't be needed in the first place.
@9SV9J3J8mos8MO
They can give warnings, but they cannot make this training a requirement. People should just understand this may occur and should learn what ways they should respond to stay calm and collected.
@9GN5KWP2yrs2Y
Yes, but only if it includes all protected classes, doesn’t focus on critical race theory, and the requirement extends to private companies
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4 days4D
Anything focusing on "racial injustices" is CRT, that'd be impossible to not include CRT at all
@9D97HKF2yrs2Y
No, most government employees are already extremely woke.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4 days4D
Too woke. If anything, we should teach them to oppose DEI and CRT teachings
@8L3WPPX5yrs5Y
Yes, and also include age, sex, disability, LGBTQIA+, and religious topics.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4 days4D
Here is what to teach:
Age - everyone ages, everyone has or has had an opportunity to be of every age, there is no reason to be biased against someone simply due to their age
Sex - Men and women have differently built bodies for different roles, a women's place is in the house, a men's place is out in the workforce
Disability - some people aren't born perfect, and that's ok. Don't hate them for it.
LGBTQIA+ - a mental illness and they should be heavily encouraged to fix their lifestyles
Yes, as long as it covers all protected groups (age, sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion) and is not based on critical race theory and extend the requirement to private companies as well
@93986TP3yrs3Y
Yes, and also include LGBTQ+ topics, and extend the requirement to private companies as well
@8WXR3THTranshumanist4yrs4Y
No because while the issue is important to me, corporate sensitivity training is often hollow and rife with half baked assertions. This training should have been provided in education.
@8P4QGGB4yrs4Y
No, simply because studies show that the training is ineffective.
@8HXBYDJ5yrs5Y
Only if it includes insensitivity towards white people too
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4 days4D
I'd still rather no sensitivity training at all, as sensitivity makes people weak
@947KR393yrs3Y
No, Racism and Sexism do not exist
@JonBSimConstitution3yrs3Y
Systemically, probably.
Absolutely, wrong.
There are Africans who believe Asians are inferior.
There are women who believe men are inferior.
@93C4G9Z3yrs3Y
just ensure there are clear guidelines, action, and accountability for acts of discrimination
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4 days4D
And who enforces these consequences for discrimination?
@8XGW8C83yrs3Y
Yes, and it should cover all protected groups (age, sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion) including gender identity
Yes, and extend the requirement to private companies as well as including all minority groups.
@8JVDMFC5yrs5Y
Yes, and extend the requirement to private companies as well. And also include LGBTQ+
@8KQWHTMRepublican5yrs5Y
Hate speech is free speech, but businesses should definitely be allowed to punish or fire you for being a jerkwad.
@TheHillbillyLordRepublican4 days4D
I agree, but businesses should also be able to fire for being pro-LGBTQ if that was allowed
@944SZ363yrs3Y
Yes, but only for government employees
@8JGM9NS5yrs5Y
No, because that is actual racism!
@8JVZFMH5yrs5Y
Yes if it is needed, most people today don’t need a class for that but If they do then one should be given yes
@98PNDJW2yrs2Y
Yes, and include LGBTQ+ topics as well as critical race theory
@8M69B7S5yrs5Y
Yes, and also include LGBTQ+ topics Yes, and extend the requirement to private companies as well Yes, as long as it covers all protected groups (age, sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion) and is not based on critical race theory
@8NX76675yrs5Y
Yes, as long as it covers all protected groups and is based on critical race theory
@8PYRM7M4yrs4Y
Yes, and include LGBTQ+ topics, and extend the requirement to private companies as well
@8THDG564yrs4Y
No, and ban private companies from doing the same.
@8SYW2LP4yrs4Y
Yes, and include LGBT topics and how to cooperate and help mentally or physically disabled people effectively and everyone in federal government and private companies should have to go to help them understand this
@8MCBXF6Independent5yrs5Y
I think it needs to exist but not be federally enforced
Yes, and extend the requirement to private companies and include LGBTQIA+ topics as well
