Yes

 @9FNP63GDemocrat from Nevada  disagreed…2yrs2Y

My best counter argument to the yes on deporting undocumented people is if you are a person that works in the U.S has a house and cars and pays all the taxes and IRS then there is no need for there to be deporting immigrants there just like the rest of the citizens.

 @9Z4F9VCRepublican from Utah  commented…8mos8MO

Engaged Deporting Criminal Immigrants

Except if they bought that house and car with money, the government gave them. That is still an illegal immigrant.

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...8yrs8Y

Yes, but after they have finished serving their sentence

 @9GFQV63 from Illinois  disagreed…2yrs2Y

There are to many variables to think about I would need a while, I think mostly it just depends on the case.

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...8yrs8Y

No, only if they have entered the country illegally

 @9FR37PNDemocrat from New York  disagreed…2yrs2Y

They are considered a danger to the country of America. If the crime committed is of great volume and is terrible then they should not be allowed to reside in the U.S if they came in illegally.

 @9LLNC95 from Arizona  commented…1yr1Y

No, only if they have entered the country illegally

It says immigrants. It doesn't say whther they came to the country legally or illegally, or what their status is. Immigrants are just people that migrated, moved from one country to another. People that MOVE are not automatically dangerous.

 @NationalGuy47  from Utah  agreed…4mos4MO

this option makes the most sense. if they came in illegally, then they should be deported, no exceptions. if they came legally, they should be bound to u.s. law and be punished according to that.

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...8yrs8Y

No

 @9F5HBFZLibertarian from Oregon  disagreed…2yrs2Y

Let’s create a pathway for citizenship, and reform the system. We should get them a basic test that’s not hard for them to pass.

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...8yrs8Y

Yes, as long as it is safe for them to return to their country

  @top_mastiffRepublican  from Connecticut  disagreed…8mos8MO

 @9FXQC5MDemocrat from Hawaii  disagreed…2yrs2Y

Investing resources into analyzing whether or not an immigrant will be safe in their home country is a waste of time and resources.

 @9L74FFC from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

If they’re illegal immigrants, they should be deported immediately. If they’re legal immigrants, they should be subject to U.S law.

 @9Z4F9VCRepublican from Utah  commented…8mos8MO

Engaged Deporting Criminal Immigrants

We also have to deal with all these illegal immigrants in the country. The number one way to do mass deportation is for the government to cut them all off from government programs. And give them 30 days to leave our country. We would see large amount of illegal immigrants leave.

 @cryingleftist from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

 @96YM5ZM from Texas  commented…3yrs3Y

This question is misleading. The question should say illegal immigrant rather than immigrant, which carries the connotation that they immigrated legally. An illegal immigrant should be deported and a legal immigrant should be prosecuted.

 @9LLNC95 from Arizona  commented…1yr1Y

 @9RCMSRK from Michigan  answered…11mos11MO

Illegal immigrants should be put before an international court, legal immigrants should be treated the same as US citizens.

No, no human is illegal

 @9LLNC95 from Arizona  commented…1yr1Y

Correct. They are here illegally but not illegal. The pro-life crowd says everyone has a God given right to life but they don't seem to apply that to people from other countries.

#1 Engaged Deporting Criminal Immigrants

The pro-life crowd says everyone has a God given right to life but they don't seem to apply that to people from other countries.

God gives us a right to life, not to stay in a country if you did something harmful. And what does this have to do with Pro-Life?

 @92VN6SK from Wisconsin  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8MBVXZH from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

Only if they entered the country illegally and after they served their sentence.

 @9LLNC95 from Arizona  commented…1yr1Y

No, only if they have entered the country illegally

If they serve a sentence in the US, we pay for that. What are your thoughts on paying?

 @9JM9ZRL from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but after they have finished serving their sentence and illegal immigrants who commit murders should get the death penalty

 @9R8G9L6 from Ohio  answered…12mos12MO

If they have already become a legal U.S. citizen or have legal documentation to reside in the U.S. prior to the crime, they should not be deported. If they are not living here legally, they should be deported if convicted.

 @9MH6HRP from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

If they are legal immigrants then no, but if they are illegal, then it depends on the severity of the crime.

 @8FRQZP8Peace and Freedom from Washington  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8D8M3RN from Illinois  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8F5DPFY from California  answered…5yrs5Y

If they have entered the country illegally than yes. If they're here legally they should be charged here and serve their sentence here.

 @96DW65F from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @9ZQB4ZS  from South Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

This should be an option if deemed necessary but only after they have finished serving their sentence. Only illegal immigrants should be immediately deported.

 @93XTP22 from Missouri  answered…3yrs3Y

 @B5YG8C6Republican  from Georgia  answered…1 day1D

Deportation immediately following arrest. Data should be collected on the individual such that there will be no chance of this individual ever returning to the US.

 @B5WHY4B from Pennsylvania  answered…1wk1W

Yes, as long as it is safe to return to their home country, and if not, deport them to a country that will take them.

 @B5VTXKY from Florida  answered…2wks2W

If they are not citizens, yes, if they are citizens then they should just be sentenced for the crime.

 @B5TPWTT from California  answered…2wks2W

This is a tough one because if the crime is serious enough. Who's to say if they get deported they won't come back and do the same. But if we keep them in the U.S. who's to say that the repercussions won't come back to haunt us.

 @B5T3YV9  from New Jersey  answered…3wks3W

Yes, unless the country they come from would punish them or be unsafe. Say a woman being deported to Iran where force marriage happens.

 @B5SZZSK from Tennessee  answered…3wks3W

I feel that if an immigrant that is legally in the United States is charged with a serious crime, then they should remain in the United States to serve the sentence. As as for an illegal immigrant, I would say that it would be OK for them to serve their sentence in the United States if the country from which they came from is not safe for them to return or has prison laws that are draconian.

 @B5S6KQD from Missouri  answered…3wks3W

No immigrants should not be deported and should instead be thrown into incarnation and length to the severity of the crime. As in Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez he should be given trail, I personally think he should receive a live sentence for the murder of another and with his previous record he should not have a bond

 @B5S69QZ from California  answered…3wks3W

If it is not in US jurisdiction it depends on whether they're a violent offender or not, political prisoners =/= rapists (most of the time anyway). If it is in US jurisdiction toss 'em in jail.

 @B4GNLBP  from California  answered…4wks4W

Yes, But anyone who commits a horrific crime should be deported, Born or not. Ideally to the Arctic circle or the 7th Layer of hell

 @B5Q6SSG from California  answered…4wks4W

No, but I feel like there should be several Layers of Immigration. the lower of which can be deported.

 @B5NMKZQ from New York  answered…1mo1MO

No, only if they've committed a violent/serious crime like r*pe, murder, any kind of trafficking, etc.

 @B5NFMNZGreen from Colorado  answered…1mo1MO

No, if they are paying taxes, then they should be granted a fair trial, serve any required time and be granted back home like any other citizen.

 @B5NBNKMDemocratfrom Maine  answered…1mo1MO

Yes but only until they have a US citizenship. Green card holders should also be deported if they commit a crime

 @B5MG6DCIndependent from Florida  answered…1mo1MO

Yes, but make sure that they are going to serve prison time in the country that they return too or keep them in a US prison until their sentence is done.

 @B5FW8DW  from Arizona  answered…2mos2MO

I don't think so. Americans commit serious crimes and aren't sent out of the country, so why should immigrants?

 @B5FBC7Kfrom Virgin Islands  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, but only once they have finished serving their sentence, they are not legal permanent residents, AND if it is safe for them to return.

 @B5F2B9J from Tennessee  answered…2mos2MO

No, only if they are sentenced through due process, serve their sentence here, and entered the country illegally

 @B5DHBP7Democrat from California  answered…2mos2MO

if it is a violent and serious crime. The illegal immigrant should be extradited back to their country of origin. If it is a country that is politically stable and be tried for their crimes there under similar sentencing as in the United States. If it is a minor crime, then that person should be tried in the United States with constitutional rights.

 @B5CRBLLfrom Vermont  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, after serving their sentence and/or if their country is aware and fine with said person being sent back.

 @B5C95V3 from Oklahoma  answered…2mos2MO

They should be in our prison since they decided to come over illegally and commit a crime in our country.

 @B5B3GQH from Texas  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, but as long as their sentence is finished and if their home country is safe enough to return them to.

 @B54J52G from Delaware  answered…2mos2MO

Yes but only if they have committed a very serious crime like a violent one and as long as it is safe for them to return to their country.

 @B4ZN9HJ from Texas  answered…2mos2MO

No, they should be in jail here. Why would you release a person that committed a serious crime anywhere in general?

 @B4YMMSM from Ohio  answered…2mos2MO

I don't think they should they should just be punished the same as a US citizen like a 2-3 sentence and protrol and be given a warning.

 @B4XBT9RRepublican  from PR  answered…2mos2MO

This should only be done if the crime was heinous enough and/or if they were here illegal. Legal migrants should not be deported under any circumstances unless they are being deported for crimes they comited in the country they fled, this would be at the judgement of the government.

 @B4W89V2 from Virginia  answered…2mos2MO

No, there has to be great national security threat, and they have to make sure they get due process.

 @B4S4QRZ from Michigan  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, the U.S. should have the option of incarcerating or deporting non-citizens who have committed serious crimes following trial or hearing.

 @9RKZTJY  from North Carolina  answered…3mos3MO

Yes, but only if it is within 10 years of them becoming a U.S. citizen or they are not yet a U.S. citizen

 @B4PYC77  from Illinois  answered…3mos3MO

Arrest them and then put them into our prisons we shouldnt send them off to the other country to commit the crime again

 @B4PPK3H from Iowa  answered…3mos3MO

Only if they are an illegal imigrant and the crime is so serious that they'd be serving life or death penalty

 @B4M8S49 from Ohio  answered…3mos3MO

No, even if they are undocumented, just make them serve their sentence because they’ll find a way back into the U.S. no matter how much “security” we have.

 @B4M8JM5 from Arizona  answered…3mos3MO

If the illegal immigrants commits any federal or heinous crimes they should be blacklisted to never have the opportunity to become a US citizen or be here in the country and should have a fair trial and deported to be arrested in their home country.

 @B4KBXCWRepublican from Tennessee  answered…3mos3MO

No, they should do jail time or do public service work for the U.S. to atone and help contribute to society

 @B4JRYLS from Texas  answered…3mos3MO

yes if they are not documented migrants , the government of the country they migrated from should give them punishment

 @B4DYZ4C from Indiana  answered…3mos3MO

They should be executed if committing crimes and here illegally. Otherwise do what you do for everyone else and jail time or death penalty per the court system.

 @B4DJ5N7Independent from Florida  answered…3mos3MO

I think if they are legal and earned their citizenship then they should have the right to be prosecuted the same way an American would be prosecuted for a crime.

 @B4D6KHP from Georgia  answered…3mos3MO

If they are illegal, then yes for the sake of health, border security, national security, law and order, a good supply chain, low taxes, low national debt, and a low unemployment rate.

 @B4B5FVS from Utah  answered…3mos3MO

Yes, but if it unsafe for them to return to their country, wait until it is safe then deport them back there.

 @B49V8X4 answered…3mos3MO

Should the new leaders of opposition return them in or out of the country that mess Hap half of our. Countries are singles of new law changes

 @B492CD4Democrat from New York  answered…3mos3MO

Yes, but only if they entered this country illegally and it is safe for them to return to their birthplace. If they are a legal immigrant, then they should be imprisoned in the US.

 @B48ZGNN from Maryland  answered…3mos3MO

Depends on the situation. If they have been naturalised, or are here on a permanent visa, then no. Also, they should not be deported if they are from a country where the government is a known violator of human rights. If they’re undocumented, or here on a temporary visa, and the home country has a good human rights record, then they should be deported upon completion of their sentence.

 @B46GTZF from Texas  answered…3mos3MO

um like we should like um do that do american people too like if americans do stuff like kill people and worse they should get sent to the middle of the ocean or dropped into the bermuda triangle.

 @B45H73W from Utah  answered…3mos3MO

If it is safe for them to return to their country, then deport them immediately. Otherwise, wait until it is safe to do so and keep them in the hands of federal immigration authorities.

 @B43TCKX from North Carolina  answered…3mos3MO

Depending on what the crime is and the safety of their country and if they entered the country illegally or not

 @B3ZF95S from California  answered…4mos4MO

I believe they should be given a trial along side their criminal trial to decide weather they stay or not.

 @B3YL2J3 from Texas  answered…4mos4MO

If they have immigrated legally, they should serve jail time as a customary citizen would. If they have immigrated illegally, they should be deported and handed over to their native authorities to serve a sentence in their country of origin.

 @B3XWN57 from New Jersey  answered…4mos4MO

Yes, but the threshold for "serious crime" should prioritize white-collar financial crimes, acts of treason, and acts of terror/DV/murder.

 @B3WDLJB from California  answered…4mos4MO

Yes, if they committed the crime in another country. Otherwise, they should be prosecuted for a crime where it was committed.

 @B3VGV2T  from California  answered…4mos4MO

Yes, according to US law, immigrants can be deported if they are convicted of certain crimes, particularly aggravated felonies or crimes of moral turpitude, and this is a common reason for deportation.
Here's a breakdown of why and how:
Legal Basis:
The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) outlines specific crimes that serve as grounds for deportation, including aggravated felonies and crimes involving moral turpitude.
Aggravated Felonies:
These are very serious crimes, such as murder, rape, drug trafficking, weapons trafficking, and certain types of fraud, money laundering, or tax…  Read more

As long as the crime is bad enough and not for a small amount of a substance or parking ticket just as long as its not for something small

 @JenksBrock  from Nevada  answered…4mos4MO

No, they should serve their time in America, so they cant enact the same crimes in their home country

 @B3JM2BL from North Carolina  answered…4mos4MO

Yes, and deport all immigrants who commit felonies, and all illegal immigrants who commit any additional crimes in the United States.

 @B3JGS9Z from Texas  answered…4mos4MO

Yes, only if I this safe for them to go back if not then they need to go to prison until its safe once it's safe send them back.

 @B3HQLYW from Oklahoma  answered…4mos4MO

If they are legal immigrants then they are U.S. citizens and should be tried as a U.S. citizen under U.S. laws.

 @B3H6Y3Z from Virginia  answered…4mos4MO

Like all people, immigrants will commit serious crimes as well. It would be unfair to deport millions of people just because they're immigrants.

 @B33BCFY from Indiana  answered…5mos5MO

Yes, if they entered illegally and if it is safe to return to their country. Also dependent on the nature of the crime. Otherwise no.

 @sauerkraut.gurl  from Georgia  answered…5mos5MO

Undocumented immigrants who commit serious crimes in the U.S. should be have access to due process before immigration gets involved. Without having an actual conviction and sentencing, there is a risk of undocumented immigrants being targeted for crimes they did not commit.

 @B2VV93KPeace and Freedom from Illinois  answered…5mos5MO

If an illegal immigrant commits a serious crime multiple times, then yes I think they should be deported.

 @B2TVK8WDemocrat from Wisconsin  answered…5mos5MO

Depends on the crime. If they are legal no. If they are illegal and commit a crime that endagers the US and it's safe for them to go back then fine but if it's not safe find another solution.

 @B2TQPSJIndependent from Florida  answered…5mos5MO

They should not be deported if they have become a citizen of the United States. If they are not a citizen deportation should be an option after a fair trial
