Foreign lobbyist that operate in the United States should be Investigated based upon their country of origin, the industry or profession they represent, and if they have a history of criminality or corruption. It should also be noted that American politicians are not adherence to foreigners But they are adherence to American citizens, and this must be reinforced and reminded at all times that the needs of American citizens come before the needs of foreigners.

 @B4G9PQY from California  answered…1mo1MO

having any foreign influence in our politics could leave a negative impact on how we function as a people/country.

  @ye  from Texas  answered…1mo1MO

No, and severely punish and ban AIPAC, foreign interests should not be able to buy the influence of our politicians

 @B3ZYM5D from Georgia  answered…2mos2MO

No, for the sake of national security and combating potential treason and terrorism, foreign lobbyists should be banned from raising money for US elections

 @B3VGV2T  from California  answered…2mos2MO

Federal law prohibits contributions, donations, expenditures(including independent expenditures) and disbursements solicited, directed, received or made directly or indirectly by or from foreign nationals in connection with any federal, state or local election.

 @B3N9XXH from Illinois  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, but there should be a time frame that they have resided in the U.S. before they can do this to avoid influences on elections by outside governments.

  @BNB_yee  from California  answered…2mos2MO

No; and any candidate or associate of a candidate for an American election that knowingly and willingly conspires with a foreign entity to receive funds for their election or to manipulate election results must be immediately investigated and indicted for likely subversive activities.

 @B3RS8MT from New York  answered…2mos2MO

public funding for campaigns. 2 Candidates. One fundraises 5 million more than the other. The lesser of the two gets the difference between what they raised through their own efforts. The race is to see who is the best candidate not who has the most wealth donors.

 @8VGYZK8  from Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, as long as the entity they're representing isn't receiving money from the US government

 @9D65QQ4Socialist from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but said foreign entities must conform to paralleled limit amounts and publication of domestic corporations.

 @9D644HFfrom Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes of course they are people and banning them is highly racist. Also encourage socialist and democratic principles.

  @YauntiCommunist from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

No, If they have an issue with the US, they should take it before the UN

 @B35JXRW from Indiana  answered…3mos3MO

No. Because although who is in a place of importance in the U.S is important to foreign places, the most important is to the U.S citizens and there should be complete unbiased to the people running for those roles.

 @B2KLHW9 from Arizona  answered…3mos3MO

I would have to be something people are aware of that is going on and that they are gauged for the influence

 @B2FNVYT from Illinois  answered…4mos4MO

Absolutely not. I don't believe lobbying should be legal at all. Those who lobby to pass laws do not do it in the interest of the citizens; they do it to further their own. And the laws that they lobby to pass are often harmful.

 @B2B3DCM from Missouri  answered…4mos4MO

Yes, but it should be an anonymous donation so the money can still help with whatever it is donated for but hold no upper hand or affiliation to who or what the money is going too

 @9ZHMWMJ from Georgia  answered…6mos6MO

Yes, but must strictly restrict the amount and origins and make sure no more than 10% of the domestic amounts

 @9Y3TQBP from Minnesota  answered…6mos6MO

All donations for politicians should should have their source and amount be easily and publicly accessible

 @9XL9KP2Republican from Oklahoma  answered…6mos6MO

No due to the fact that they could say that they are raising money for them yet it is just for themselves.

 @9XHFG4X from New York  answered…6mos6MO

If need to learn more before weighting in. My instinct is that it should be permitted, but limited in size, with extensive reporting and disclosures ensuring that it's never used as a back channel. If that id too hard or too big a risk to adequately safeguard against, then A ban sounds ok to me.

 @9WS6SQ6 from Illinois  answered…7mos7MO

It ticks me off that people are so cowardly as to collapse to bribery. Outside influence should have no power over what we do. So it is to the shame of our own cowardly candidates that would cave to bribery. The short answer… it shouldn’t matter.

 @9WR24Y3Democrat from Colorado  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, they are allowed to, however, it would be more patriotic if we had an American citizen representing them.

 @9W4SPVJLibertarian from Minnesota  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, but all donations should go to an equal access fund that splits donations evenly between major candidates.

 @9W4SGSY from Pennsylvania  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, but as long as they are not just raising money for themselves. If they say they are raising it for a certain person it actually needs to go to that person.

 @9TTPNT8  from California  answered…8mos8MO

I don't think this question is clear enough. Foreign interests in our elections is a red line that must not be crossed. However, when it comes to a foreign lobbyist fundraising in the US for a US election, it's a bit of a gray area—it's just business. Transparency is key here; the public should know who's contributing and why. Money shouldn't buy our politicians' favor, and Americans deserve to know the origins of every dollar that enters the political arena.

 @9S5NLJC from Indiana  answered…9mos9MO

foreigners have no rights in our country and shouldn't have rights,they need to stay in their own country

 @9RWZLPK  from South Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

No, to prevent corruption, foreign interests should not be able to buy the influence of politicians. That applies to Americans as well.

 @9RRRNQ2 from South Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

No, the federal government should not spend taxpayer money on this. American lobbyists should not be allowed to raise money for foreign elections, either. Foreign interests should not be able to buy the influence of politicians.

 @9RJPSYN from Nevada  answered…10mos10MO

No, absolutely not! In fact all lobbying and lobbyists should be abolished. Starting with the foreign lobby. Foreign powers or interests should hold ZERO affect over the actions of the senators and representatives of the government. Period.

 @9N8MT4F  from South Carolina  answered…10mos10MO

No, and it is the government's responsibility to set limits on this issue. Foreign interests should not be able to buy the influence of our politicians.

  @floradora  from Nevada  answered…10mos10MO

I don't think this question is clear enough... foreign interests should not influence our elections... but a foreign lobbyist raising money in the US for a US election seems okay... just a job.

 @9P3XJTK from Kansas  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, as long as all donations are limited and public knowledge to ensure there is no conflict of interest

 @9P3GXBV from Ohio  answered…11mos11MO

Only individuals should be allowed to contribute to elections. But they should be public information.

 @9NKVSCT from North Carolina  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, but only as long as the money won’t be used as a way to buy the influence of our politicians and US citizens know who and where the money comes from.

 @9MRL3LT from Pennsylvania  answered…12mos12MO

I believe if Candidates want money from foreigners then there should be no debate about weather they could vote, run for president,etc. if you can accept/want their money we could accept them as people

 @Politics_53 from Texas  answered…12mos12MO

Yes as long as all donations are public knowledge to ensure there is no conflict of interest and it did exceed more than 30 percent of the total amount of the politicians campaigning.

 @9MFX8R7 from Missouri  answered…12mos12MO

America should not have elections. A king should be chosen by lottery, or by succession of the firstborn son.

 @9MF633D from Georgia  answered…12mos12MO

this issue has always been irrelevant as it speaks to the ethics of the candidate receiving the funds, not to the donor

 @9M7X92J from North Dakota  answered…1yr1Y

Definitely no! I pray to God that you are able to see what I wrote about foreign bribery and what it has already done to our nation. Please we can not allow bribery and stay free. We have already lost our liberty to our enemies the Chinese.

 @9L7N2XG from New York  answered…1yr1Y

No and they should never influence politicians because the American government is served by the interests of its citizens.

 @9KWD3FL from Georgia  answered…1yr1Y

No, foreigners should not be allowed to buy influence and lobbying should be made illegal. As in, serve prison time. A long time. Not just a slap on the wrist, or a fine to pay. But serving actual, hard time. No first offenders act.

 @9KVP56LLibertarian from California  answered…1yr1Y

 @9JZR5D4Republican from California  answered…1yr1Y

No, only citizens (whether natural-born or naturalized) who are natural persons (no corporations, PACs, unions or lobbyist groups) should be allowed to donate.

 @9JXNVY5 from Illinois  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but under certain restrictions to ensure that the donating party is not trying to promote a weak or corrupt candidate.

 @9J43VSX from Kentucky  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, as long as all donations are public knowledge, have no conflict of interest, and these donations are limited by value.

 @9GKLBL7Independentanswered…2yrs2Y
