Rome is preparing to welcome over half a million young people from 146 countries for the Jubilee of Youth, the largest event of the 2025 Catholic Holy Year. The weeklong celebration, running from July 28 to August 3, will feature religious gatherings, vigils, and special access to the Holy Doors of the Papal Basilicas. The event aims to foster hope, fraternity, and peace among youth in a world marked by conflict. Pilgrims from across the globe—including large groups from Korea, Egypt, the US, and South Africa—will participate both in person and via livestreams.
