“I'm a bit conflicted -- on one hand, it would be nice to try free markets, but on the other hand we haven't had a free medical industry in this country for over a hundred years. We've had a century of intense government regulations distorting the industry, and trying to roll it all back would introduce too change for most people to handle. By comparison, the ACA is a minor tweak on top of the existing system, and might actually improve the situation for many citizens. We won't know until it's run for a while, and I'm willing to let it run and see where things go.”
