“I fully support the Affordable Care Act. For myself, I will finally have good affordable insurance as opposed to the poor policy I had that provided virtually nothing, but caused my bills to skyrocket. There needs to be improvements to the law. I would suggest having a cost control mechanism in place. Also, so-called "Cadillac plans" should not be phased out. I would raise the subsidy levels because many people in the $50K salary range will have a difficult time paying for the premiums. Personally, I would support a single-payer system, similar to what is available in France. Canada's system would be a good first step. In any event, no American should ever have their financial well-being threatened by healthcare bills, and this could also be prevented by creating a "medical bankruptcy" law that allows people to discharge in any given year all of their medical bills without it ever affecting their credit rating.”
